On my way to broadway I got thirsty and found this place by coincidence. I never made it to broadway anymore haha! As a Dutch tourist I was warmly welcomed by the locals with nice chats all night and free beers. Great place, great selection of beers on tap and most of all: great people!

I wanted to love this place 😭 I’m docking stars for a lack of “friendly” or “warm and inviting” environment - which several reviews mention. I just moved to Nashville and finding a local craft beer bar was on my list to find immediately. I was so excited to try Hops and Crafts - I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and upon walking in, with only 1 other patron in the establishment, I immediately felt unwanted in this establishment. The bartender stared at me and I brightly gave her a “hi” with a smile as I sat down at the bar. Her conversation with the only other patron immediately concluded. She asked me what I wanted, with a tone of annoyance, as I watched the rotating menu on the tv (please stop with these) and I proceeded to order. She gets me a beer, a couple other people walk in - they are greeted with smiles , friendly hellos - I was quite taken aback. Once the other patrons got situated, outside of the music, you could hear a pin drop. The bartender sat on a stool in the corner of the bar on her phone. It was so incredibly uncomfortable. As more people started to trickle in the greetings they received were so warm and welcome while mine was stone cold. 10/10 on the beer craft beer selection but the overall vibes are unfortunately not it.

Walked by on a hot day and spotted this bar for a thirst quencher. Friendly barman, helped me find the beer I wanted, nice and cool inside. Outside seating for people watching and watching the world go by, nice spot, will be back!

Hops is one of my most amazing hangout spots. The vibes are always chill, it’s such a social atmosphere where there are no strangers, and the service is perfect. This is literally a place where you can know no one and feel like you know everyone at the same time!! If you happen to be in on evening Big Will is working, definitely Sup’ him. ✌️

DO NOT COME HERE: They denied my 65 year old gray haired dad because he didn’t have an ID but let an underage looking male drink without an ID because the bartender “knew him”. Pretty sure this is #illegal. Glad to know they are alienating locals.

We stopped in while on the Trolly Tour and can hands down say Jessy was our favorite bartender our entire trip! Great local beer selections on tap and a line up of nightly activities and old fashion bar games. Highly reccomend if you find yourself in the Gulch neighborhood.
