So so good! Love the melt always and butter cookies! The items they have are delicious, fresh and the right amount of sweet without going overboard. Highly recommend Hermitage Bakery Chicks!

I am really sad because this bakery was referred to me. I ordered a red velvet cake with a red cream cheese frosting on top, with a cream cheese frosting center. This case was supposed to be for my son's tour party. I explained this when I went in to order the cake 10 days before, and I was very specific. We had 50 guests who attended. When I picked up the cake, I didn't notice a problem until we cut into the cake. The cake was pink, and only had a very thin layer of red icing on top that was crunchy and broke through to a half inch of white frosting that did not taste anything like cream cheese frosting. In the center of the cake was a micro thin layer of what looked like white frosting. It did not taste like cream cheese frosting it tasted like white frosting. And the cake did not taste anything like a red velvet cake, nor was it the beautiful deep red that is red velvet. My son was bummed, I was bummed and a lot of my guests did not eat it. I don't like to complain, but I was really upset because this cake was almost $100 and it was not what I paid for. I tried to explain to the baker my issue, but she just argued with me and said that's how red velvet cake look and it was cream cheese frosting. When I questioned her she said they use white cake and add dye. I said you didn't use Coca Power? Then she changed gears and said oh yes we did. I've made cakes, I've bought many red velvet cakes and that was not red velvet, and it was not cream cheese frosting. It was white icing. I wish that I could have worked it out with her, but she was unwilling and didn't even offer to make it right. All she did is argue her point. It was really unprofessional and very upsetting. Worst of all she was the manager and possibly the owner. I love supporting small businesses and if she had handled it differently and even offered a discount, I would not have written this review. Buyer beware!!!

Best Petit Fours in town. Took me back to my childhood, they are delicious!

I moved to the area a year ago and had been wanting to stop in here to check it out. On Saturday I finally did but was not impressed. As a first timer, I asked if they had any donuts and I got a quick and short "Nope". Now this lady was cordial and nice but not overly nice. Not that I needed an apology, but it's just good customer service to say your sorry for not being able to fulfill a customer's request. No big deal I thought. Let's start over. I told them it was my first time and I had heard good things. Didn't get much of an explanation as to what they're known for or specialize in or suggestions or anything. Clearly they don't specialize in making walk-ins feel welcome and I was the only customer in there. No smile or anything. I felt more like a thorn in their side. They literally told me there's a donut place down the road. I grabbed some chess pie squares and said I'll take these. I waited a good 3 or 4 minutes before she asked the younger sales associate to check me out. I should have left. I guess they have their set clientele and referrals so they don't need walk-ins. Maybe they get sick of people asking for donuts. I'm not sure, but what I am sure of, is that they missed an opportunity for a good first impression. They definitely missed out on a potential order for my daughters Birthday party this month. A famous football coach once said, "It really doesn't cost anything to be nice, and the rewards can be unimaginable." Google it.

We go here often. My child has food allergies and they take good care of us. EVERYTHING I have tried there is absolutely delicious. THE ONLY THING is the specialized cake designs seem to vary depending on who is taking the order the day you place it and how much care they give the design description. I have ordered a special custom cake two times and they even made a specialty flavored buttercream for us. But the actual design quality and details were super varied both times we ordered it. Perfect and gorgeous the first time. (They took good order notes) and a hot mess the second time we ordered. IF you are able to be flexible with what you envision vs what you get, definitely always go here. No one has better tasting treats.

Ordered a caramel cheese cake two days in advance, with a requested pick up time, after asking if they could make one. Picked it up when THEY asked me to and cake was still warm. It was placed in a large square box so it slid around because it was not cold. Try to pick it up to place on a plate and it fell apart. Everyone knows cheesecake should be served cold and firm. Called to talk them and was met with rude response and was "suggested" I put it in the refrigerator for a couple hours. Shouldn't have to do that for a pre-ordered cheesecake. Plus...after it finally cooled and was firm enough to cut, the taste was not so great!! Don't know how their other products are, but don't get cheesecake from them.

The cakes taste amazing. We would never go to store bakeries when the Hermitage Bakery is so much better.

I ordered a 1/2 sheet cake for my husband's military retirement ceremony. My order was placed weeks in advance. I was very specific, explained exactly what was wanted, sent photos, AND called back just to double check and make sure they were able to do it like the photos. They assured me it would be done like photos. Needless to say, when I picked up the cake it was nothing like what was ordered. I ordered a tropical beach themed cake with a small Air Force wings symbol in the corner. The cake I got had no tropical anything. It was a plainly iced white cake with blue border and Air Force wings in right corner. It wasn't even close to my order. Very disappointing to say the least! However, we needed a cake for the 50-60 guests coming to the ceremony. So, we took it. The only reason I am leaving a 2 star review is because the lady was nice and tried to add what she could (red icing and flag rings) to make it look better even though it wasn't what was ordered. Also, she gave us a $22 discount. However, if you are wanting a custom cake with icing and design or anything other than basic icing or a printed image, I would not recommend ordering from Hermitage Bakery. Luckily, we were able to make it work, but we settled for less than we wanted due to not having enough time to go somewhere else. I will not order a cake from here again. The pictures below show what we ordered vs what we got.

A cute bakery with some sweet delicious treats. It doesn't get better than that! I came on a random Monday to satisfy my sweet tooth, and they didn't let me down! I ordered the cookie sandwich and the caramel petit four. The buttercream used in the Cookie Monster was perfect and you could tell it was homemade. The chocolate chip cookies were ok, not the best but not the worst. The star of the show was the caramel petit four. It was soooo good! The breading was so moist and soft. It was cooked perfectly! Next time, I'll have to buy more so I can share!

Amazing cakes that taste delicious! I absolutely love the frosting that is used for the filling and the crumb coat. Its super light and fluffy and not overwhelmingly sweet. Staff every time I have visited has been very sweet, polite excellent service. Highly recommend.

Our family ordered a fudge pie for Thanksgiving and it was a huge hit! We will definitely be back!

I definitely recommend this bakery. I seen recommendations for this business in local foodie FB groups. I needed a custom cake for a birthday. They had my order ready before they said they would. The cake was moist and delicious, and was decorated nicely. I really can't sing their praises enough. We will absolutely be returning customers.

Stopped in again for my usual petit four treats. Every time in nashville I have to make a stop to hermitage bakery. They're the best. Sweet strawberry is my favorite but the deep dark chocolate and smooth creamy vanilla are close seconds. My only problem is which to eat first.

Ordered a custom birthday cake for my wife and it was wonderful. Beautifully decorated and ready right on schedule.
