We love everything about this restaurant... the food is ALWAYS great, service is outstanding and the atmosphere is perfect. Some favorites included their Grilled Salmon; Vege Burger; Salad; French Fries; Prime Rib.... and the Carrot Cake is just over the top!!

I ordered a pork chop, expecting a pork chop. What I got were three pork chops, stuck together in an all-together amazing plate. The smashed potatoes were buttery and flavorful, And the broccoli was good dipped in the appercot sauce for the pork chop. The carrot cake is probably mostly butter, but it tastes like heaven. Delicious!

Carry out was not ready until 25 minutes after the time I was given for pick up. Food was cold when I got home and it was a 5 minute drive. I won’t order carry out again.

The grilled pork chop was the best I have ever had! Double bone-in, cooked and seasoned superbly. The Mac-and- cheese was excellent. Reservations on the weekend a must.

The clam chowder is not a chowder but closer to a bisque. Food presentation and taste seem to have taken a step backwards. Nothing special.

This is one of only a handful of elevated dining restaurants in West Nashville. It’s a great place to come for a celebration and you can avoid all the traffic and parking problems of downtown. Thankfully they remain open between lunch and dinner if you are looking to avoid the crowds. We have been looking for the best baby back ribs in Nashville and this restaurant beat out the other two we have found on the west side if not all of Nashville! Besides the high quality of the meat the ribs are consistently excellent. Sweet, sticky, fall off the bone, moist and dusted with thier signature seasoning. We also tried the red snapper on special which is difficult to find except at the finest restaurants. It was broiled again with the same signature seasoning and served with melted butter. The whole menu is consistent throughout the meal. Great sides, desserts and french press coffee. All excellent and we did not even have the opportunity to try the salad. We will certainly comeback. Great service throughout! Can’t wait!

Server did a disappearing act after taking our order. Did not see him again until he brought the wrong check to our table. We arrived around 4:45. The restaurant was nearly empty at this time of day. My wife ordered the French dip and she said it was excellent. I ordered the fish of the day, Parmesan crusted halibut. The fish was very “fishy “. I’m not sure which day they meant or how long they had that piece of fish. The roasted cauliflower was excellent and I would have loved to swap the fish for another serving of the cauliflower and call it even. However, as mentioned above, no one ever came to check on us after the runner delivered the food. No refill on drinks, no concern about how are food tasted, no concern towards us at all. I was going to mention the poor service as we were leaving, but the three hostesses were huddled up and completely ignored us as we left. Oh well. There are many other restaurants in the area to try next time we go for a day trip to Nashville.

I had an amazing time at J'Alexander's. The Steak Maui was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor - every bite was a delight. The key lime pie was a perfect balance of sweet and tangy, and the Alex salad was exceptional, with the champagne dressing taking it to another level. Overall, the entire meal was a pure delight, and I'm eagerly looking forward to my next visit to J'Alexander's for another exceptional dining experience.
