J. Gumbo's Antioch

This was my first experience with J Gumbo's & Cajun food. I didn't know what to expect but Dave explained what the menu had & offered all the samples to me before any choices were made. Portion size was more than enough & prices were way less then I would have thought. Everything was great. The only thing that would be better is if it was in Murfreesboro.

Didn't taste authentic. Usually when you franchise a business..it's never like the original OG... If you think this is really Louisiana cajun food..you must be dreaming... Tasted like something shipped from the bayou and not slowy cooked homemade. The guy was really stingy with the rice. Peach cobbler tasted like it was baked in an EAZY Baked oven.

I am Blake Woodard's wife. I have been sick all day from the food and simply upset with the whole ordeal. I would rather my money be replaced. Is a refund possible? Still have the bowls...neither one of us ate the remainder after finding the rubber band. Also the peach cobbler tasted as if it was made 3 to 4 days ago *not fresh!!! Please help!

My Wife and I went there today, tried the free sample. We selected our dish and went home to enjoy them 1st 4 bites were wonderful until my wife found a rubber band in her entree. Lets just say we won't be going back ever. We had kids serving us and hey im all for kids having a summer gig but food may not be his strong suite. ZERO STARS IS MORE LIKE IT.

Amazing food. Gumbo was a bit too seasoned. The catfish poboy was absolutely phenomenal

Pretty decent food for what it is. Not really a 'taste' of Louisiana. Food is not made here, it's shipped up here 'from a commissary in Louisiana.' translation: not fresh.

Though the two people at the court ter were very friendly, gave me several tasters of what they have, in the end I wasn't thrilled with the quality of the food. I ordered shrimp as an add on to my dish, but no shrimp to be found. Flavor of my daughters dish was the best of the 4 dishes we ordered, but it wasn't anything I'd go back for. Their menu online is not updated so everything cost 2 times more than expected. This place is not for me.

Nice place in a quiet area. Food was very flavorful. I had the bourbon street chicken.

Changed the meals sizes but same price on the food but still good

Great food, especially for the price. It was my first time here and staff was super friendly to everyone that walked in. It was nice you could try before you buy. Will definitely be going again, and we love that it is veteran owned

First time eating here, Had the gumbo and shrimp very good but should use jumbo shrimp but very nice place

Delicious food, reasonable prices, and a very personable staff. I'll be bringing my loved ones here to enjoy!
