I visited Jackalope Brewery last Sunday and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The staff were unfriendly and carried a bad attitude (as though it was a hindrance to serve us). Even though it wasn’t busy (only four groups were outside), no one checked in on us to see if we were happy with our flight/customers in general needed anything.
Added to this, the beers were underwhelming. The Weisse and Shine in particular was extremely bitter and undrinkable. On top of that, the atmosphere was uncomfortable — the music was loud and harsh, some sort of drum and bass mix that felt more like a nightclub than a brewery, definitely not customer-friendly or relaxing.
Overall, between the poor service, unpleasant vibe, and lackluster beer, I wouldn’t recommend this brewery or return in the future.
We went and sampled a flight, liked two of the 5, but was disappointed with the service, barmaids were not friendly or took the trouble to check on what we liked or thought, we sat out in the beer garden and had no follow up contact.
Great vibe, great live music, great staff, great beer. What more do you need?
Good selection of craft beers. Bearwalker is always excellent.
Good variety of craft beers
Dark, unwelcoming bar. Staff unable to recommend any beers as they have never tried any of them!?
Beers tried were all average with no real flavor.
Finally got a chance to try Jackalope at Trax. It was really good. It's a my top of the lust for local beers. Just wish my health was better so I could drink more. I felt great the next day. I did drink responsible. In other words I didn't drink a lot. It was smooth and crisp. I was lucky to get to try it and will try it again. Makes me wish I got in the micro brewing business years ago. Jackalope is here to stay and one of the micro brews I have ever tried. I was in the wholesale beer business for years and also in the bar business. If you haven't tried it, you need to. I had mine on tap with a chilled glass. That is my favorite way to drink beer. Also the bartender at Trax Tea Room knew how to poor draft beer.
Place got bought out and they ruined a great local Nashville gem. The beer is still good but you're better off just buying it from the store. 👎
A bunch of executives without a creative bone in their body bought a Nashville staple, stripped it of its color and joy, and covered the walls in 99 cent Home Depot laminate wood-wall panels to make it look like “Sports Bar™️”
They also replaced their lineup of food trucks for a half-assed food menu not worth your money.
Oh, and they pretty much entirely blocked the view of the brewery itself with said 99 cent Home Depot paneled walls. A depressing insight into what goes through venture capitalist executive brains. Feels like a low budget movie set
Visited the old location a few years back and had to stop by the newer location when I was in town. It was late so we expected to just have one beer and go but Ali offered us a beer tour which was super neat ! Beer is always a hit too

Great beers + friendly staff + cute merch + awesome space = Jackalope! Definitely add this brewery to your list!
Don’t drive! Tried to go on Thursday afternoon and the area was a complete mess. There is no parking, the surrounding neighborhood streets are lined with endless parked cars. We found parking several blocks away. That kept us from trying out this place. Good luck!
Good beers, good cauliflower bites, good atmosphere.
Live music was good, the beer was good.
Friendly staff, delicious beer
