I always request a stop at Jeni's when I'm in a city with a scoop shop, and it never disappoints. We stopped in today and they had four cosmic-themed flavors to celebrate the solar eclipse on April 8th. The shop even had stars hanging from the ceiling, a star-themed playlist playing in the background, and free eclipse glasses to boot. Branding was on point! I had a few samples, the kind lady behind the ice cream case said I could have as many as I wanted and if there hadn't been a line behind me I probably would've spent another 20min sampling everything. I'm a sucker for specials and got three of the eclipse flavors- Supermoon, Nebula Berry, and Cosmic Bloom- in a waffle bowl ofc bc this is literally the only ice cream shop where I won't deny myself the waffles. Nebula Berry and Cosmic Bloom packed a fruity flavorful punch. Supermoon had floral notes paired with a cereal milk flavor. It's a treat every time.

I was lucky enough to come across Jeni's while searching for a dessert spot open late following a show at the Grand ole Opry. Jeni's did not disappoint! My only disappointment that night was that the banana cream pudding and dark chocolate truffle flavors were offered only by the pint (they did allow me to taste test them however, the service is so friendly!). There is ample indoor seating for a cool night or hot afternoon and a parking lot to make a quick stop convenient. Now that I'm back home on the west coast I did find their prepacked pints at Safeway(for $9.99).

I liked how the ingredients all tasted good, fresh and tasty. Prices are a little high at eight dollars for one scoop of ice cream, but the quality is high. The flavors are unique, I got a brown sugar, caramel, walnut, ice cream, and a chocolate, blackout, Both of which were unusual and delicious. Strongly recommend this place.

I ordered a pint of Jeni’s dairy-free Dark Chocolate Truffle ice cream online as a little Galentine’s Day treat for my daughter, who is lactose intolerant. It was super easy to order, and it was delivered to her precisely at the time requested. However, the flavor she received was Darkest Chocolate, which is NOT dairy-free, so she wasn’t going to be able to enjoy it. I was really disappointed with the mistake, so I called the store from which I had ordered to see if the correct flavor could be delivered. The associate in store did not know how to fix this problem because they use a third party delivery service, and another delivery could not be scheduled that day. I asked him if he would call a supervisor to find out if anything could be done to rectify the problem, and he said he would call his area manager. The area manager gave him permission to send the correct flavor via Uber to my daughter, which was absolutely brilliant. They let her keep the Darkest Chocolate to share with her friends as well. Even though they originally made a mistake, they corrected it and did the right thing for this customer. I’m Team Jeni from now on!Dietary restrictions: Jeni’s actually has several dairy-free flavors of ice cream, and most of the ice cream is gluten free.
