Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I went to Jeni’s for the first time Sunday 7/12/25 around 8pm and had a horrible experience. I wanted a non diary option which I purchased. But I also wanted a pint to take home. At the register I requested banana pudding and the cashier ( young woman with cowboy boots tattoo on her inner forearm) reached into the display case and placed watermelon on the counter. When I told her that’s not what I requested she said, “oh I didn’t hear you”. So because you “didn’t hear me” you assumed I wanted watermelon. As a Black woman this was uncalled for and unnecessary. Imagine enjoying your off day, ending with a sweet treat… and racism.

Best ice cream in town. Not even a debate. The waffle cones are insane!

Wonderful ice cream with so many flavors. I like that they serve half scoops so you can mix and match more flavor combos. The Scoop Artisan took their time helping me decide based on my input and gave me several sample scoops. The waffle cone is baked fresh in-house so the whole thing is just incredible. I’m glad I don’t live nearby haha

Great choice of ice creams! Not your standard 31 choices. Some really good custom flavors!

Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams – 5 Stars

Okay, I might be a little biased—but Jeni’s always hits the spot! I love how they rotate their flavor selection while keeping the classics around. Ooey Gooey Butter Cake is my forever go-to, but this time I also tried the seasonal Strawberry and it was chef’s kiss.

I came in close to closing, but the service was still friendly and quick. No crowd this time, which felt like a little treat in itself! Jeni’s is the kind of place that works after a great day, a rough one, or just because. It’s where I meet up with friends or stop by for a casual date night—it’s that reliable.

Oh, and the waffle cone pieces? So good. I wish I was a cone girl because I’d order one every time!

Girls serving ice cream we’re not wearing gloves and dipping their dirty hands into the ice cream containers 🤮there were gloves on the counter…no one was wearing them. Please tell them to start wearing the gloves or I’m never coming back

I won’t call my self an expert on Ice cream definitely an enthusiast though. The Ice cream here has got to be one of the most delicious things I’ve ever tried. The Coffee flavor was the obvious choice but their sweet potato Ice cream was one of the most unique flavors, I’ve ever tried. The staff was incredibly friendly and the location was super clean, great place to stop on a Sunday (if you are Christian please dont harass service workers here, go take out your Jesus hate elsewhere. Try the Ingles in Cashiers NC, that manager is a pervert. His name is Jeremy)

We frequently visit Jeni's and truly believe it’s the best ice cream place we’ve ever been to. Today, I tried their affogato for the first time—it’s made with cold brew, not espresso, but I really enjoyed it. We love their frequent seasonal flavors and their friendly staff—perfection in one word.
