My husband and I both happened to be working in Nashville at the same time and treated ourselves to a lovely dinner at Jimmy Kelly's. We were seated in a cozy, well appointed, beautifully lit smaller room. Then, Entered Arthur! To say he made us feel special, is an understatement. He made recommendations, taught us about Nashville, the history of the restaurant, and menu favorites. And made us laugh ! It's sad when you are having such a good time with your server that you forget to get a romantic picture with your husband and instead take one of your husband with the server! Thank you Arthur for steaks prepared exactly as we asked, wonderful sides, good wine, and a memorable evening. Come visit!!!!

We went in here on a whim, and it was an amazing experience! Our waiter and busser were SO nice, and the food was amazing. It’s definitely pricey, but well worth it, not just for the food but for the service and atmosphere. We had a great time. Steak was perfectly cooked, and I cannot stop thinking about the mashed potatoes. This is definitely a spot to go to if you’re traveling to Nashville like us and you want to treat yourself.

Highly disappointed in my most recent experience at Jimmy Kelly's. We were seated promptly at our reservation time but there was construction going on from time we got there until we finished--not light noise but hammering, sawing etc--ruined atmosphere experience when your paying $200 a meal for a couple, i expected more. Also food quality was not as good as my trip last August-steak was dry and not an $80 filet experience. Service as always was exceptional and lacked in no way. #disappointed. Overall: ⭐⭐ experience

We’ve been several times for special occasions. It’s a good date night destination, as well. Historic and beautiful building but a bit hectic walking in and waiting to be seated.Parking: Valet parking is highly suggested unless you want to park and walk.

It's one of the oldest steakhouses in Nashville...received a gift card and used it last night. The decor is old, tired and doesn't flow....the upstairs room we were in had cranberry colored walls, mustard/gold heavy curtains covering walls and windows, a crooked mirror and an 80's poster of Marilyn Monroe. Server had to use 3 shims to stop our table from wobbling, and we changed out our dining chairs twice because they shifted and wobbled while sitting on them. Our server Lauren was very nice and knowledgable. Food was served with perfect timing in between courses. My filet came out bleu verses med rare and was immediately fixed. Manager came and apologized and offered to comp a dessert for us, which we declined because not necessary. The filet and the ribeye ordered were average flavor at best, and the Mac and cheese was bland. Bill was over $200. Not worth the price for the ambiance and food quality.

Steaks cooked to perfection! Some unique sides... delicious, and enjoyed by all since they were sized to be shareable. Waiter was very personable and very knowledgeable about all menu items.

They Changed the chef in December. And changed the menu as well. The steaks were still good, but the bacon was awful. Smothered in bbq sauce to hide the fact that there was no, or next to no meat in the slices and was all undercooked fat. No dressing on the wedges.. No onions available at all. And they did away with the twice baked potato. It'su a shell of what it once was....Sorry to say.

The food was excellent but we were disappointed with the new limited one-page menu. Entrées used to include a side salad and a baked potato. Now everything is à la cart and the prices have increased. And our favorite dessert, the blackberry cobbler, is no longer on the menu. Times have changed and I guess Jimmy Kelly's has decided to change too but we are nostalgic for the old Jimmie Kelly's.

Food was very good. But not deserving of 5 stars IMO. Service was great but didn’t love the tiny upstairs room crowded with like 5 other tables. I’ll go back if I can sit downstairs. Pretty expensive for what you get.

Service was outstanding. Ordered a dozen oysters and received 6. Steak was under cooked, cold and had absolutely no flavor. How do you mess up a filet? Bar staff, wait staff and hostess were top notch. Unfortunately food was below par.
