This cafe provided for visitors to Andrew Jackson's Hermitage is located off the main building where people buy tickets and see the museum of artifacts and history timeline, though anyone can eat here without doing a tour. Constructed of glass, this casual space is open and airy with outdoor views.
when i go the food, it was all cold and gross. the service also took about 2 hours to receive the food that we ordered. they also forgot to give us about half our meal. my kids were really bummed out about it.
The food was nasty and it took to long. Ruined my vacation.
Surprising eatery on the Hermitage grounds. I can imagine a packed place during the high season. Clean and a nice selection of items. Clean and open seating.
The restaurant tied into the Hermitage is actually a nice idea with it being named for what Jackson's cabinet was & even the meals on the menu are named for famous people in history. However, the combo meal that I had for $15 wasn't all the greatest and the service was a bit on the slow side. I was also disturbed by the fact that as patrons left the cafe that no one was out there wiping tables down as people left which is a health concern. The day I was there the place also appeared to have only 3 or maybe 4 people working which is also somewhat disturbing considering how popular a place this is. Overall, if you want lunch in that part of Nashville look elsewhere since I'll not be back.
I had the red pepper soup, which was very good and only $4.99 for a generous bowl ðŸ‘
The three bean salad looked like a year old salad! Plants in there needed to be replaced. The workers didn't speak ENGLISH!!!!!!
Awesome little cafe!! Lived in Hermitage for most my life but never ate here!! Friendly staff and awesome hamburgers!!! You dont need to pay for Hermitage admission to eat here which I assumed was the case
Don’t bother to run back into town if you’re not done at The Hermitage. Lots of choices and some combo deals, too.
Museum cafes don't have to be good since the competition usually involves the inconvenience of leaving, but this one was totally respectable and good given the low bar I have in my head for this type of place. If I was driving near by around lunch and needed to eat I'd go even if I wasn't visiting the Hermitage (though I wouldn't go out of my way for it). You can get to it without admission. Service was very friendly and appropriately chatty while we decided what we wanted (there was no one behind us as we ate an early lunch). They bring your food out to you which was nice. I had the chicken salad sandwich which was good and big and I'd recommend it if you're hungry. I also had the homemade lemonade and helped myself to a refill before we left. My son had a hot dog and side of grapes and cheese cubes. My husband and Dad both had pulled pork and they liked it. My mom had a slice of quiche, she thinks it was supposed to be bacon and tomato but was more like ham and cheese, but it was good. The prices may have been a bit much for the amount of food which is why I docked a star, but like I said, given what they can and do usually get away with at places like this given their control, totally expected and went above my expectations.

Do yourself a favor and don't eat here! It's over priced and the food was terrible I've had better at McDonald's and for a lot less!
Good food and wonderfully pleasant staff
Great food an service
Good place to eat lunch after walking Andrew Jackson's grounds for 3 hours. The sandwiches were good. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and my wife had the pork bbq sandwich on ciabatta bread. Both were very good.
