This is a really pretty place ,it's kinda the kind of place u choose for a date or hanging out with friends, the place is gorgeous, the drinks are good and the music is not loud,so u can actually have conversations, great spot for millennials age , great place for.. as we say in Spanish 'precopeo' like before u go out to dance etc service was good,our waitress was super nice

I love LA Jackson and frequent there on the weekends but tonight I went and there was security guard inside thompson that asked us to sit down in front because “we were speaking too loud” and then proceeded to come over to where we were sitting and told us again that we were being loud. We really didn’t appreciate this as we were not speaking loud and there were other people in there speaking even louder even the receptionist talking to each other was louder then we were. This man was black, as were we but the white people in the room was no problem but we were, it was very disrespectful and felt as a micro aggression. I have never experienced this in the many times we have been, but that is not a person that should be standing at the door.

First ever review below 5 stars and has nothing to do with the establishment. Place was beautiful and had a special vibe to it. The problem was the horrendous DJ. When we got there the dance floor was dead (9/13 11ish) cameras with confirm everything I’m saying if the restaurant wants to fact check. Anyways, 30 mins goes by and me, my buddy and 2 other girls did the most we could with music and eventually the dance floor was swarmed with people in less than 15 mins. Music got a little better for a few songs but then just went to the dirt. We asked a few times if he could just switch it up anyway possible and he could care less. A few other groups of girls who came to dance said the same thing and we asked if maybe he would listen to them.. he shot them down instantly and said “this is the music I like”. At this point we went through 3 songs and couldn’t do anymore. We asked one more time because it was either he changed it up or we had to leave. He ended up getting nasty with us and we decided it was time to leave. The two girls who were dancing with us in the beginning when no one was on the floor were on the same page and took the elevator out with us. There was 3 different groups of girls who complained about the DJ and I would not lie about that to prove my point. The cameras will tell the story and I can gurantee the dance floor never saw no where near that action for the rest of the night. All in all this a place definitely worth going to but please please please be careful with who you hire as DJs as we’re in Nashville and there’s hundreds of people who deserve that shot over this scrub.

We decided to check out this place. At 530pm, the open lounging area was already packed, we opted for the inside tables which gave us more privacy. Natalie our waitress was excellent, she gave us food and drink recommendations, we opted for a bottle of wine, draft beers , smoked wings and venison poppers.The wine was surprisingly good, food was just so delicious!! Sad that it is our last day but a great excuse to definitely come back to Nashville again!!!

Great rooftop for brunch! Food and drinks were both great along with exceptional service. Better than Marriott hands down!
As someone who lives in Nashville and has been to LA Jackson many times, it is a place I can no longer recommend. The bartenders are extremely rude, and the drinks are way too pricey for what you get. The crowd has gotten a bit rough around the edges, which drags down the vibe. Would not recommend going.

Fresh off my flight to Nashville… My first flight without Beau, may I add, because heartbreak apparently enjoys frequent flyer status! I needed a pick-me-up and not just emotionally… I needed elevation. Spiritually, mentally, and literally.
Enter: L.A. Jackson, Nashville’s reigning rooftop royalty, perched like a smug little oasis on the top floor of the Thompson Hotel. Voted best rooftop bar five years in a row, and honey, I now understand why. Because when your heart’s in the gutter, there’s no better place to be than several stories above it with a cocktail in hand.
My friends and I arrived, emotionally unwell but aesthetically thriving, and spent the next few hours soaking up skyline views, crafting fake backstories for each other, and pretending that Beau had been nothing more than a figment of my overactive imagination and attachment issues.
The drinks? Delightfully dangerous. The vibes? Immaculate. And the standout star? The French Kiss, a cocktail that tasted like healing, flirtation, and just a hint of poor decisions. Honestly, 10/10 recommend.
Come for the drinks, stay for the view, and if you’re lucky, leave having convinced yourself (and possibly others) that you’re completely over your ex.
