The food was good. Everyone was nice at first. However I ordered 2x beef empanada's and received 2x beef arepas. Not a big deal, I told them, and they sent the arepas back. We were in a bit of a hurry so I told them not to worry about the empanadas. They then brought the arepas back and I was like okay, thanks. They then brought the empanadas I told them not to worry about out a few minutes later.
None of this would have been an issue, however I was charged an additional $22 for 2x beef arepas that I didn't order, nor did I particularly want. I told the lady this and she refused to take it off. Why am I being charged for their mistake? This was incredibly unprofessional and not how you treat your customers, especially when it was a mistake on their end. I feel like I have been scammed. I will not be returning my business here anymore, which is a shame, because my Colombian wife really likes their jugo de maracuya.

I really felt like I was eating in a restaurant in Colombia, many happy memories came to my mind. Loved the empanadas, rice and sancocho.Thanks Alfredo you’re doing an excellent job, this is authentic Colombian food.
Great restaurant great food great service. I got what I always order at colombian restaurants bandeja paisa and I usually don't really like the arepa it comes with because they're always dry. This one wasn't and with a twist its slightly sweet. The entire plate was delicious. My only regret was not ordering more empanadas and almojavanas to go. We live about three hours away and probably won't be back for a while but will definitely be back!!!!!

Worse service ever. I walked with my wife at 7pm. Most of the restaurant was empty of customers. The server claimed that they cleaned all the other tables for closing and insisted that i sit on the table under the AC where it was blowing freezing air. When i asked to move she refused. So we just walked out. Hopefully this comment can reach to the owners.

We were looking for something different for dinner and we found La Cucharita on Yelp. it had good reviews, so we thought we would give it a try.
They are located in a little shopping plaza, so there is plenty of free parking. The restaurant is a no-frills, seat yourself type of place. The menus were written in Spanish and English, so if you don't speak Spanish, you will be fine.
My husband ordered the Bistec Encebollado (Grilled Steak and Onions) with rice, beans and maduros. I ordered the Arepas Rellenas--one with chicken and one with beef. I thought they would be small, so I ordered two. I was very wrong. They were so huge that I could only eat half of one! The rest went home and made excellent leftovers the next day.
The chicken and the beef in the arepas were so tender and flavorful. I did not need to add any hot sauce or condiments to add more flavor. I would definitely recommend the arepas.
Definitely a good stop to get your Colombian food fix!

My wife and I have been to La Cucharita several times to order the Picada. It's a fantastic dish, packed to the brim, and can easily feed three people. The food is always hot, in great portions, and delicious! The staff is also extremely friendly and has been helpful whenever we're there. Can't wait to return soon!
