Very good place. Not the usual Mexican food. Parking is scarce but available.

Small place, big flavors. The kind of spot where every dish tells a story, and the service makes you feel like family.

Great food, service was meh, but they were busy. I just feel like once I made it known I was getting mine to go they made all the done in guest priority over me even though some of them ordered after me.

I love this restaurant! I been to so many restaurants in Nashville and this one is the best to me <3 the flavor , the vibes and most importantly the service ! Everything is AMAZING . The food is great but the margaritas are greater ! I really recommend this place for any occasion!

Ever since Laura’s Cocina opened on Nolensville Road, it’s been blowing up on Yelp with nearly unanimous five-star reviews. It’s located in a part of Nashville teeming with Mexican eateries, yet it’s risen above the rest bawd on crowd-sourced reviews. So naturally, having eaten superior Mexican cuisine in Mexico and while growing up in Los Angeles, I had to check it out for myself to see if it met my standards.

And I’m happy to report that Laura’s gets my stamp of approval! The sauces are authentic, spicy dishes are appropriately spicy, others are subtle, and everything is very fresh. Most notably, they use higher quality meat than most places but still charge reasonable prices.

If not for Yelp, you might drive right past Laura’s. But this is a hidden gem worth trying, adding to the lore of South Nashville abundant with stunning international eateries in nondescript buildings!

Laura's Cocina is one of those places I have driven by so many times but never stopped in and so we finally did it on a Saturday for lunch, and I am so glad we did!

I was shocked to find it empty - we were the only ones in there. But we were greeted with a smile and seated immediately. The decor is nice and the light is bright and natural. There are two very large screens that can be split to catch all the sports.

The salsa is so delicious and fresh. A little more on the chunky side but it is so tasty! Chips and delicious. Queso wonderful too!

I had enchiladas with red sauce. One beef and one chicken. The red sauce is so yummy. Little bit of spice and flavors are great. The food was served piping hot, which I love. We can't wait to go back.

Didn't take any photos because I was so hungry and didn't even think about it until I was halfway through my food but everything was delicious. Go support this small business!

Really good food and service! The food was excellent and came out in a decent amount of time. (The food is absurdly cheap btw!)The waitress was easy to work with and polite. The restaurant may not look like much, but don’t judge a book by its cover!
