Seriously the best food I’ve had in Nashville. Everything was phenomenal, every bite you take is filled with so much joy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!! Never had this level of quality from a food truck!!

I’ve been following this restaurant for a while now and was looking forward to trying them out when in town.
When you pull up it’s an older “dingy” food truck which is usually a good sign from my experience.
I knocked as the note said and was immediately greeted by the employee. He kindly took my order and told me 10 mins. He was friendly and polite which is all I could ask for.
The food came out quickly and was hot as hot food should be.
The birria tacos were delicious all by themselves and didn’t need the consumè. And I like that the cilantro and onions come in the side.
I also got the elotes which has the option of on or off the cob. I got off. The flavor was nice and it was good to see a more “traditional” elotes and not some random dish with corn being called elotes. Just simple corn, mayo, spice and cheese.
We also ordered the bean and cheese burrito which is extremely reasonably priced for the side and also hot when it came out. My only request would be a little more salt in the beans but over all I was happy.
All in all good food and a fair price. As for seating there isn’t any unless you are drinking at the bar, which we weren’t so we ate off the hood of The car which wasn’t the easiest thing with the weather blowing everything around.
Maybe they allow you to sit there and not purchase drinks but we didn’t want to risk it

We loved our food from this food truck during our night out to Choppers Tiki Bar. The food was so great that we went back out and ordered seconds. Their fish tacos were crispy, well seasoned and delicious, and their elote was the best I've ever had! Ended up eating wayyyy too much, so beware! ;)

As an Arizonan it’s been difficult to find Mexican food until I found this gem. The chicken and beef birrias are always perfect and crispy and consistently delicious. The only down side is they could use some horchata, I’d pay $6 for one size if you sold it. Just encouraging yall to take my money 😂oh and guac! Where is the guac? 🥺🥑 sometimes I have to skip out on eating this place due to no guac or horchata but nonetheless the best Mexican food in town

Came here recently after watching the Netflix episode and after having gone to the spot in the Gulch. Got the carne asada and they were super overcooked. This is a taco shop and they had basmati rice in the tacos? Super upsetting. Must have fallen off after the show presentation. Will not be back.
SUPERB FOOD!!!!! Savory tender birria beef!!!!! Tasty elote!!!
i got an order delivered to me at work . taco shells look completely MOLDED

I make better quesadillas at home.
Great food, especially the casadillias. Mouth watering 😋!
Flautas are delicious. Very fast service and you can sit in the tiki bar and have a cocktail and grab food from this food truck. Great concept! One of our fave Mexican spots in Nashville

I’m not sure if we came on an off night or what (Thursday, July 24), but the food was extremely disappointing. We ordered fish tacos, the tomato tostada, and Brussels sprouts. The fish in the tacos was a tiny portion and both of our tacos were cold. The tostada and Brussels sprouts were also cold. We were curious to try their brick and mortar location, but after eating at the food truck it’s a no from us. I should say I’m from Texas and my husband is from Mexico so we know Mexican food. It’s been awhile since we’ve had a bad meal, but maíz de la vida dropped the ball.

Tacos don't fet better than this. And this is coming from LA where amazing tacos are everywhere. Maiz was recommended before moving to the city, so I visted day one. My biggest regret was driving away with only one taco instead of two. Props to them for using non-gmo corn. You can taste the love in every bite.
