Came all the way from kansas just to eat at martins again. So i tried the one down town. Idk if this place is different or if they changed the potato salad recipe but its not the same. Wasted my money on 2 quarts of potato salad to take home. I got the pulled pork shoulder and it was cold and the guy just dropped my food at my table and walked away zero hospitality from him. We came to martins as a recommendation for the best barbecue in Nashville and all I can say is what a good recommendation. The restaurant itself is super unique and filled with personality. The food was absolutely amazing. Lots of wonderful flavor and perfectly tender meat. The food is expensive for what you get but definitely not so expensive that it ruins the experience.
I searched pit masters and their places. Martins popped up. And I was very excited because I love barbecue. Turns out not everything is as advertised.
First of all food arrived barely warm, close to cold. Ribs were dry. Brisket was??? weird. Only good thing was hush puppies.
Total disappointment.
