Long time Nashville staple for chicken and fries.I feel like they were the first, in Nashville, to really focus on chicken tenders done well while keeping the customers coming in. Honey Bee is my favorite sauce it is sweet with a little sting of sour and heat.Go in and order. Then have a seat while they make you some fresh chicken tenders original or tossed in sauce. I recommend both! The fries are fresh and hot too!

Been coming here since I was a kid- place has really gone downhill sadly. The employees were wonderful to me and my friends but I couldn’t get past how tasteless the chicken was. The crunch was there and it was fresh- but no real southern flavor or spice. Toast was ON POINT. The sauces are there as a crutch for the chicken and I was almost sold but the cups they give for sauce are about .5 of an oz you can barely dip the pinky of the chicken finger tip into the sauce (see picture). They also used to offer a free 2oz soft serve with every meal and that is gone too- which for the price of the small basket (nearly $20 after tip and fountain drink) should really be no skin off their back to keep offering!! I hadn’t been in awhile and I had a hankering today but I won’t be coming back on purpose anymore.

I cannot say enough good about this place. I grew up on this chicken all 4 years of high school and every time I’d come back home college I’d eat here. This place is the absolute GOAT of chicken, and worth every penny. All the flavors are delicious but the glorious Gold sauce is king! I’ve recently moved out of state, and miss this place dearly. Love you Dougals. ❤️

Great food! I used to come here when I was young and would play in the lot that used to be next to it will I wait for my food with my family. The chicken and fries were always great and every time I go there I still have this feeling of nostalgia. My favorite restaurant

I'm not sure if Jimi has been to a place that felt more like Jimi than this place. This is Jimi's wibe. Hole in the wall. Tons of random sports memorabilia and photos and shirts and license plates covering the wall. Jimi could spend hours here just looking at the stuff. Jimi tried both the buffalo and the gold sauces and he would recommend the gold. It's tangy. Buttery even. Smooth like a baby's behind. Jimi would go back to Nashville solely to experience mcdougals again 5 stars

Best fried chicken in Nashville!!! We frequent McDougal's and they are the most consistent restaurant in Nashville. I've never had a single bad experience. The chicken is absolutely delicious, sauces are perfect, fries are seasoned with love, and the sweet tea is just like grandma used to make.

Great tenders and in a funky spot with some crazy decorations inside on the walls. Outdoor seating available would recommend if in area don't believe you will be disappointed

This is a pretty good place for a quick bite. Solid chicken fingers. Good sauces. Bushwhacker was yummy and satisfying. Just a little bit slow and expensive, otherwise it would get 4*.

I have been to this restaurant several times since moving to Nashville 4 years ago. However, on my last visit, I found the quality has diminished. The chicken tenders were mostly breading and over cooked. The fries were just okay, as they were lukewarm and not fried with a crispy texture.
