Good southern cooking. Good menu with lots of gluten free options. Great location being only 1.3 miles from Bridgestone and they have valet parking. Did not take advantage of their shuttle but I wouldn't hesitate if needed. Carol was our sever and she was outstanding. Knows her menu and how the kitchen operates. Food was good with some creative options. The Brussel sprouts may be the best we ever had. Location is eay on to the interstate. All in all good choice for us for dinner before a Preds game. BTW the desert choices are hit.

Hostess worked to get us in asap and was super friendly and professional. Wait staff were thorough, and engaging, explaining ingredients on menu items when asked. Food was delicious and made to order!

Good popular breakfast spot. Food was just okay IMO. Ordered the chicken tenders on biscuits and the chicken was tough due to overcooking or just bad quality chicken tenders used? Don't know. Would have mentioned it to wait staff, but waitress was busy with others. Maybe someone called in sick and she was covering extra tables don't know. Wife had Denver Omelette, meaty omelette but nothing else made this entree standout at this popular destination. The good: ambiance, smoked Gouda Grits, food on others' plates looked fresh and good size portions.

Fantastic atmosphere, every one was so friendly and made you feel welcome. The food was excellent and it was overall just a great experience. We utilized the shuttle and it is simply so convenient. This was my first visit but we will definitely be back.

Glad our hotel bartender recommended we stop in for brunch as this is definitely a cool old local hangout. Love that they haven’t the tucked aside little bar for a variety of seating, and enjoyed the intimate and vibrant brunch crowd on game day. Meals were all tasty and appreciated that they split our omelette dish for us. The grits were out of site by the way. Get n if u can while in town and go w friends…have a bloody, and get ur day going right! PS - the little house biscuits were a welcome addition.

Amonung the best of Nashville's dining experiences for many years, it is still one of my go to places, expecisally with out of town guests. Visited again this week with a visiting guest and was very pleased to find that they have maintained the quality and friendly/professional service that has been the hallmark of Midtown Cafe for decades. Like so many others, I still miss having Randy Rayburn greet us at the door or drop by the table to assure that everything is good and share some local gossip or political insights. Kodos to Randy's partner and the Midtown Cafe team who have continued to maintain the exceptional quality and hospitality that Nashvillians loved and rekued on at this destination dining location. .

What a find! Four of us went for breakfast in this cozy little place. The food was delicious and everything was served at a nice even pace which allowed for good conversation and chit chat with the staff. John is a 5 star server. Friendly, informative, engaging. In the restaurant business they say people will come for the food, they'll come back for the service. The Midtown Cafe epitomizes this perfectly.

First time visiting Nashville. 4 days in town and disappointed with food until we came to the Midtown Cafe. I was after shrimp and grits and my wife had the pork-chop special. And they had a wine list selection better than any other restaurant that we had been to in Nashville. Highly recommended.

Food was good, other than the hollandaise sauce on the eggs Benedict. Wait staff were excellent. Was very convenient to midtown hotels.

My friend and I enjoyed everything about this restaurant. We had breakfast and it was delicious. Will definitely dine there again on my next trip to Nashville.

I'd been in Nashville for a day and a half, and found myself at a loose end on a Sunday morning, so I asked Maps for the top-rated breakfast places in the area. Midtown Cafe was #1, and now I've been there, I can see why. By the time I got there (about 11:30 am) the place was properly busy, with a great, warm atmosphere as lots of families and friends talked to each other over their food. People had phones (obvs), but nobody was really looking at them as they were enjoying each other's company. I was warmly welcomed by the friendly, but clearly experienced and efficient hostess, Christy. Because I hadn't made a reservation, I had to wait for a seat at the bar, which was fine because a) I got to meet and speak to random strangers, and b) I noticed the lady behind the bar turning out Bloody Marys (and everythinhg else) like a pro, so I ordered myself one and enjoyed the brief wait before taking my sea.

Being English, I tried the closest thing to a fry-uo, the Midtown breakfast, opting for smoked bacon, poached eggs, house fries (lovely saute potatoes), and a muffin. It was excellent. After that, I was thinking about calling it a day, but the couple next to me were so pleased with the portion of key lime pie that they'd ordered after their breakfast (and they considered themselves SMEs (subject matter experts)!) that I decided to stick around and try it too, while making the most of my free coffee refills. Glad I did.

Highly recommend.

Sunday brunch was delightful. Food was amazing, mimosa and Bloody Mary on point, and staff accommodating, efficient and super friendly. Reservations are a must, so plan accordingly.

Arriving a little early we went to the bar where a friendly and welcoming bartender made us great drinks. The server at our table knew his menu. He couldn't do enough for us. The dinner was delicious - so good! The brussels sprouts salad appetizer was out of this world. Filet and pork tenderloin was done perfectly. The atmosphere was warm and friendly with everyone having a fun time. We certainly did! We came from out of town and glad we chose Midtown Cafe.
