We used Mixed Grill to cater our wedding this weekend, while the food was delicious, there were definitely a share of problems.
I will preface this with I was not made aware of any of these issues until yesterday as our friends and family did not want us stressed on our wedding day and our short mini moon following.
First, they arrived at 12PM and were cutting and putting food out early. Items like crab, etc. that need to stay cold. Our cocktail hour was not set to begin until 4PM. They were telling people they were told it started at 2PM. I have messages telling them what time it starts and that it needed to be ready by 3:45PM. They had our wedding taco bar set up super early as well. All of this was handled by the venue owner, friends, and family and Mounir and his team were told that they needed to put the cold stuff somewhere until it was closer to time as you can’t just leave items like crab sitting out for hours.
On the note of crab, we had several guests with a severe seafood allergy and I specifically asked that there be absolutely no shellfish or seafood on our cocktail hour table or anywhere in the dinner, however, there was crab. The guests who had the allergy were pulled aside by one of my bridesmaids to make sure they were aware of this.
Also for cocktail hour, after sitting the food out, they didn’t cover it. We had previously discussed them bringing coverings as the cocktail hour was outside and they said they had some. I reminded them 3 days before about the coverings and on the day of, these were not provided. I was told our food was covered trash bags instead. My in-laws also went to grab food at cocktail hour after family pictures and the catering team was already clearing the tables, when cocktail hour wasn’t even fully over.
I was also told the catering team was rude throughout everything happening.
Our wedding venue has black listed this catering company and we personally will not be using Mixed Grill again.

Mounir and Mixed Grill Catering did our wedding. From the start of our planning he displayed top notch customer service and was very accommodating to all of our needs. We used his venue and catering and everything food wise was taken care of. The fajita mix, chicken, and rice were all amazing, and we received many compliments from everybody. The cocktail hour display was beautiful. In addition to the great service and product, he came at a price point that would be hard for anyone to beat these days.
