Monell's is amazing!! This is one restaurant my husband and I were looking forward to dining at. It is good old southern food. The amount of food they gave us was extraordinary. Due to it being family style we were able to eat a little of everything. To start we had coleslaw and a cucumber salad, biscuits and cornbread. The biscuits were light and fluffy and the corn bread with the apple butter was absolutely delicious!! We had green beans, fried apples, corn, mashed potatoes, white gravy, macaroni and cheese, meat loaf, fried chicken, pulled pork and chicken and dumplings. I personally loved the fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, meatloaf, green beans, biscuits and cornbread bread with the apple butter.
It was also enjoyable dining with others from around the country.
The service was excellent!!! Monell's is a must when in Nashville. We will definitely be back!

Such a great southern food establishment. The employees were gracious and easy to be around. The food was outstanding. We were served Fried Chicken, BBQ Chicken, pole beans, beef slices with onions and gravy, Mac and cheese, corn casserole, Cole slaw, pickled cucumber salad, mashed potatoes, cornbread, biscuits, white gravy. It was all outstanding.

We had lunch here..Nice restaurant, it's actually hard to call it a restaurant...it was more like coming home to Mom's Home cooking...you sit at a large table with other guests, everyone is handing you a bowl or platter of 1 of the many things on the table...you put as much on your plate as you can eat and can eat more....IF YOU CAN! THERE WERE SO MANY THINGS TO EAT AND IT WAS ALL DELICIOUS..you want to try EVERYTHING! .My only complaint was I couldn't eat any more! The 4.8 rating doesnt do this place justice I would give it a 10 if I could!
