Very good food and very attentive, thank you!!!
Paid for chilli $6 on my card because cash is not accepted. Was not informed of cc surcharge .0199 fee & there is no cash option. They were out of chilli so I was returned $6 cash but still payed fee & tax on it=$1.13. Pastrami sandwich was skimpy for price and fries were dry.

TLDR; bad food, wildly overpriced, sticky floors, great chocolate milkshake.
I liked Mr. J’s the first time I had it 2 months ago. Two days ago I got it again and I dubbed it top 5 worst meals I’ve ever eaten. Even worse is that it is astronomically overpriced.
The meat was very overcooked and had a weird texture. I got the lettuce wrap and it did not cover the burger. I put no onions, my receipt said no onions, but there were onions on it. Which fine, I scraped them off, but that could ruin a meal for people with an allergy.
Our fries were not crisp at all and hardly salted. I was handed my milkshake first (15 min before our food came out).
Let’s do some math! 2 burgers, 2 fries, 1 milkshake, small tip. $49. Asinine.
I struggle to order on the iPad because of physical limitations but no one paid attention when I tried to ask for help. Luckily I was the only one there so I could take my time.
The tables were dirty, the floor was sticky. Just a super bummer.
I’m sorry Mr. J, I want to love you and support a Nashville staple but you just didn’t do right this time.
2 stars instead of one because the chocolate milkshake was delicious.

Delicious burgers! Fast service and super nice folks. Love them! Great spot in my neighborhood. The shakes are yummy, and they really put love in their food! Highly suggest you visit.

Pretty good food, good staff, but the prices… eh, I think they can do better. Solidly overpriced. And not just a little bit. Not crazy high, but you’ll spend more here than the food is worth. We were just super hungry so we bit the bullet and paid the price anyway. I got the chicken strips and fries, and it was very delicious, and my wife said her burger was very good. If it wasn’t for the prices I’d definitely be coming back, but likely not unless they charge more reasonable fast food prices b/c that’s the vibe here. Fast food. Also, there was a guy that came in who reeked of cigarette smoke, which made it hard for me to breathe until he went to the other side of the restaurant.

Drive across town to eat there and they were “out of pastrami” at 11:30am.

We needed something fast & hearty after a night of cocktails. Mr. J’s did the trick with a great diner style breakfast platter. Service was perfect, place was spotless & the blueberry pancakes were not to be missed.

Fresh meat, not frozen! This was a great little find! Great burgers and beers! My favorite was the fried zucchini! 😋 A great little local eat! If you're in town you should stop by! Tell J that Delia sent you!

How can you mess up breakfast? Well, this place found it easy. The bacon was over done and the pancakes were burnt. In fact everything we ordered (there was 7 of us) was sub par and the place was empty on a Sunday morning!

So, it's pricey. Took my son here and we got a cheeseburger, a jalapeño burger, a water and a Sprite, and after tip it was $34 😳 That being said, there was only one guy working there that rang us out and cooked our burgers and he was super nice and made great food so these stars are for that gentleman.
