Great food, great service, attentive staff, good proportions. Despite its end, I can ascertain that Nama was an amazing restaurant.

I cannot say enough about Nama sushi. I came to Nashville for cancer therapy and a stem cell transplant - and couldn’t leave the apartment for 2 months due to no immune system. When I was released to go to a restaurant for the first time I went to Nama. They kindly cleaned the table for me the. Went I to the back and cleaned a special work area to prep my food so u would be safe. I almost cried. The food was delicious and fresh. And safe for this immune compromised person. I felt honored and happy. Thank you for the extra attention. So important at that time.

Wow! Super impressed with the customer service and quality of food. Our server, Stacy, was very sweet and attentive. The manager, Otis, is a superstar!!! My husband and I have a 1 year old son and Otis stopped by several times during our visit to speak to and play with him. His (and Stacy’s) warmth and kindness were such a genuine pleasure and I’m glad our paths crossed. Now to the food..; the salmon was so fresh and every dish we ordered was perfectly prepared. So happy we found Nama and looking forward to coming back!

You really want me to believe this place has only an average of 3.5 stars? Surely these people were writing a review for another place, right? The sushi here is phenomenal!! We got an order of fried shrimp dumplings as an appetizer and immediately knew the food was gonna be amazing if the appetizer deserved 5 stars. The dumplings are perfectly fried, but not that tempura-breaded type of fried which can be too much for me sometimes. I went with the Secret Garden roll with a side of tuna nigiri. The Secret Garden has tuna, salmon, crab, sprouts, cucumber topped with avocado and was so freakin tasty. I love sushi and I can definitely tell you that this is one of my fave sushi bars I've gone to

What we thought would be a busy Saturday night ended up being a chill dinner at Nama! No wait and quick service. The waiter and hostess were awesome. On top of that, I loved my meal! I forget what the roll was called but it was a classic shrimp tempura option with a few different sauces that really completed the experience! I'll be back soon

The slowest place I have ever been too. We have been waiting for our food for close to an hour.

Had a great meal here. Food was expertly prepared and presentation was awesome as well. A bit slow to get seated but worth the wait.

Awesome crafted drinks. Bartender was very helpful and attentive. The rolls were really good and so was the shrimp appetizer.

This is a highly rated and expensive restaurant because of the atmosphere, across from Vanderbilt University, the vibe, and the incredible service. I agree with all of those. The reason for my 3 star review is as follows: parking is horrible and very inconvenient, especially during peak times. It took way to long (40 min) to receive my food, even though I was sitting at the sushi bar. Typically high end sushi restaurants at least give you a portion of your food if you’re sitting at the bar/ even if it’s just one order of nigiri. The piece is a little too high given the mid level quality of the fish. Lastly, I order “chef’s choice” and it was good, but definitely not great as far as quality. Beautiful presentation, but freshness and flavor were only “ok”

I love Nama. We went for Thursday happy hour. Half priced sushi rolls and 2 for 1 drink specials. Also reduced priced appetizers. We had a ball. We were celebrating a friend's achievement and Nama was the perfect place to be. The sushi is amazing. They arrived quickly. The drinks were perfect. Our server was nice (although he brought our checks super late, I think he went on a break after he got us our food, but he was still great). I will definitely return. I always have a great time there and the tempura is amazing!!

We got in and was not greeted by anyone. We waited at the front for a while to be seated but no one showed up so we sat ourselves at the bar. There was no bartender so we decided to sit at the sushi bar instead, we were there for food anyway. We sit down and even though there are two people making rolls right in front of us, we were not greeted at all. They didn't even make eye contact. So we patiently waited another 5 minutes or so and a waitress finally appeared and gave us menus and asked about drinks. It was not busy as it was an afternoon and there were maybe 5 or 6 tables total. Our waitress disappeared again until the food came out. Someone else served our appetizer. The appetizer was calamari and it was overcooked and rubbery. Not horribly so we ate it anyway. The rest if the trip was uneventful. With the exception that the waitress was never around much and we had to ask the people prepping the rolls, who did not talk or look at us the entire time, to go get her so we could get our check. They did. That being said , for the quality of fish being served, it is not worth the price to get sushi rolls here. The 3 oz. Sashimi was the best part of the meal.

This is our favorite sushi spot in Nashville. So many unique rolls and we love trying different ones every time. Will always recommend coming here to anyone who hasn't been.

Went on a Sunday night for Trivia and was very impressed. Trivia was a great time, the host was very funny, and the sushi was great. Half-priced all day Sunday is awesome, not sure if I would see as much value paying full price but couldn't beat the happy hour deals.
