I walked in and sat at the bar immediately because I saw people there and wasn’t sure about the set up, then a woman from a window way in the back asked me if I wanted food. I said yes and walked back there and put in my order. I got Okra Soup and Egusi with Jollof rice. I waited like 10 minutes then got everything super hot. I drove 30 minutes home with everything and it was still hot. The rice was everything!! And the okra soup was my favorite. I’ll definitely be back.

The place need a serious uplift. I have tried the food on multiple occasions, but it tastes terrible. It seems they keep cooked food for a long time and it becomes really tasteless. To their credit, if you use them for catering, they cook really good food. Since they prepare it fresh. But for in-store or online orders, don't expect anything tasty. Also the environment really really needs serious improvements. If they can't get enough customers, they should probably change to online orders only with maybe a day lead time. At least they can make it fresh on a order-by-order basis.Hoping something will change about this restaurant. The other Nigerian restaurant, eko african in Antioch, is not much better.

A very fine African/Nigerian restaurant in Nashville, TN, with authentic Nigerian cuisines. I enjoyed the Egusi soup with Fufu. The food was so delicious that my friends had to go back to their destination with a to go box of food. The owner is licensed too, so you will have no worry about your health concerns. Just let them know if you're allergic to certain foods, and you will get the best.

I've tried to call this place on several occasions to make sure they are open because their hours are unpredictable. They never answer the phone so I just stopped calling. I've never tried their food however based on the reviews... I think I'll pass. The only reason why the health dept haven't shut them down is because Nigerians are known for spiritually protecting their establishment using black magic and witchcraft with sacrifices. Eat at your own risk the food is even tainted with evil and wicked ingredients. They run their establishment like they're in Africa. This is America you can do better. That's not to say that some restaurants in Africa aren't upscale.

Bitter leaf soup was watery, jollof rice was a bit bland. Interior needs some serious uplift and doors need

This place serves old food stored in labeled containers and warms them up. Not fresh at all and the Egusi soup is flavorless. The people have attitudes and the food is extremely overpriced for the quality. They need a new cook who ain’t lazy and fresh food.

I wish I could 0 stars!! Terrible service and terrible place to hang out. It was so humid and hot in the inside and we were not warned about the AC before before we paid to get in. The bar service was bad, took forever to try to get a drink. Everyone was so wet from the heat and humidity. Never going back.

This was the most flavorless egusi I have ever had. I’m 4 months pregnant and was craving egusi and fufu while in Nashville. And this did not satisfy my craving. Idk if it’s typically cooked this way but it’s a no for me. And it has masking tape with “Egusi” written on it like it was in the refrigerator or freezer and they stuck it in the microwave which would explain a lot more because when I walked in I didn’t smell any food cooking. And the food has no flavor and was very watery. Go somewhere else if you can.

Last time I came there one of their staff was so rude to me, and she was also talking politics to the costumes which shouldn't be allowed, i don't think she should be working in there. She is from Nigeria in a state called Enugu state.
