A newer place for smoothies and bowls in Nashville, this was a really good experience all around. Taking over what used to be another well known quick service restaurant, they have completely transformed the space. During my visit I only got a 16oz smoothie, which was made fresh, quickly, and served with a smile. If you are in the mood for an acai bowl or variety of smoothie options, I definitely recommend Playa Bowls!

Fantastic, I have food allergies and the second it was mentioned staff was on top of it. My bowl was like a dessert, so good. Like a healthy sundae but all fruit and granola and honey. Looked as good as it tasted as well

Playa Bowls is hands down one of my favorite spots for a refreshing, healthy treat! The bowls are always made fresh with vibrant fruit, perfectly blended bases, and generous toppings that make every bite delicious. I love that they have so many options—from açaí and pitaya to coconut and green bases—so there’s something for every mood.

I really love the walk to Playa Bowls on my lunch break. I like that the owner recognizes that I come very often. I also love the atmosphere of the business, the employees are always smiling, the shop is always clean, and they’re always busy (a good kind of busy). I love that they added good, smooth, nutritional smoothies to the block!

I was excited for Playa bowls to finally come to Tennessee. I have enjoyed other locations across the country for many years. Sadly my visit to this location was not pleasant and I won’t be giving them any more business.
Due to a food allergy, I asked to substitute one fruit for another and was told I’d be charged extra even though the two items were both the same price. All of the other Playa Bowls I have been to let you substitute whatever you want. Not sure if this is a company wide change or just this location’s decision to be difficult and price gauge. When I ordered my food, the girl seemed confused about my substitution request but based on her response I didn’t think I’d be charged extra. When I left and check the receipt, they did in fact charge me for a substitution like it was an additional topping. When I called the store later to ask about it, they were very rude and basically said too bad. That’s not how you earn repeat business and I’ll be going to one of the many other bowl stores in Nashville from now on.
What makes it especially off putting is that this location jacked their prices up compared to other Playa Bowls locations (which were already on the high side) and then they nickel and dime you.
This location won’t last with their poor customer service and inflated pricing when there are many other options to choose from.
