Prince's Hot Chicken is known for its delicious and juicy hot chicken, seasoned to perfection with a variety of spice levels. The medium hot option is quite spicy, even for those with a European palate, and the hot sauce can be very flavorful and spicy, so heat lovers should be prepared. Many customers find the chicken tenders to be perfectly breaded, although some note that the outer layer can have a stale chewy texture at times. The fries are crispy on the outside but soft inside, and sides like potato salad, coleslaw, and baked beans are tasty. Greens and mac & cheese are also good, though some sides can be salty. The assembly hall offers a lively atmosphere with energetic live music, making it a popular stop for a walk-and-eat tour. Customers mention that people often line up, so the wait can be longer, and it’s important to listen carefully for their name to be called. The service can be slow, but staff are friendly. The food makes up for the casual setting, and it remains a well-loved spot for authentic Nashville hot chicken, even if some believe other places might be better. Recent reviews highlight that the hot chicken is moist and seasoned throughout with flavorful heat, not too greasy or drenched in sauce. The spice level is untempered, so ordering medium is recommended for a good balance. Customers also enjoy sides like collard greens with a corn muffin or baked beans, and note that everything is made to order, making the wait worthwhile. The wings are described as full-grown chicken wings, perfectly cooked with tenderness. Many find the meal to be exceptional, with some mentioning that the cornbread itself is a dessert. Overall, Prince's Hot Chicken continues to be a favorite for those seeking authentic Nashville hot chicken, offering a memorable dining experience with friendly service and flavorful food.
