Had my 50th wedding Anniversary here

I would give this zero stars if I could. I had not heard of Ray Stevens before going to the CabaRay, so I wasn't familiar with any of his music.
Not sure where to start. I went with my wife and in-laws and we all live in the Nashville area, so we thought this could be a fun/different experience. We all agreed that we wanted to leave at intermission, so we did.
The positives: The facility is very nice and well designed for a show. The service was also very good. The orchestra seemed to have some talented musicians. Extensive bourbon list.
The negatives: The show. Wow, it was horrible and offensive. The Fauci Covid joke was not funny and his transgender swimmer song was in very poor taste. Ray's voice wasn't terrible (for a guy of his age) but was very hard to hear a lot of the lyrics as he mostly drowned out by the orchestra. We could see the teleprompter and read the songs. The dinner was typical banquet food, OK but nothing special and definitely not worth the price.
Sorry Ray but it is time to re-retire.

Ray was an absolute treat. Show is fantastic, CabaRay is very intimate, not a bad seat in the house. I love shows where artists spend time telling stories, history, and inspiration behind the music. His in-house band are all excellent musicians. I would definitely come see him again and I wish Ray many more delightful years ahead. The man is a legend.
Although Ray is getting older, his singing of his classics was on point. His band and backup singers are right there to help him when telling jokes when he forgets where he is going with his stories or jokes. However to pass his humor and songs on to another generation was wonderful experience for our family. We even saw other stars there to enjoy an evening with Ray Stevens.
Everything you'd want if you are a Ray Stevens fan.
