It’s a little expensive for what you get, but I think it’s quite a solid spot flavor/food and atmosphere wise. Unfortunately there’s not a lot of good food nearby this exact area. So for the location, it’s actually standout.

I have yet to have good tasting chicken in Nashville. I had high hopes with this place claiming to be authentically Jamaican. They gave me baked jerked chicken and the chicken itself wasn't seasoned. Imagine bland boiled or baked chicken and that was my food, except it was topped with jerk sauce. Jerk chicken should be char-grilled. & my pick up order was an additional 30 min wait when I arrived. The tostones weren't bad. The rice was really good but skimp on my large plate. My food looked just like the pictures.

This restaurant should never sell Jamaica food, the oxtail was tender with no flavor, the rice was disgusting, the cabbage was OK $37.00 for this meal that we threw away.

Came here for their vegan night. The potato taco was good. Everything else was a NO.

Jackfruit served like this is CRAZY it wasn’t soft just heated from a can and threw on that nasty sauce. (Next time take y’all time and shred the jackfruit) could have told me it was a pineapple taco and I would have believed you.

The Mushroom taco…. Sigh …. I was so disappointed. How do you mess up the easiest thing to cook? Oh …Wait they didn’t cook it down and it lacked so much flavor.

I won’t be back for a pop up anything. It didn’t give riddim n spice.

Listen up my experience here was a complete 100/100!!! This was my first time coming here (09/17/2024) and I guarantee it will NOT be my last... My coworkers and I came in for lunch and when I tell you that everything that we had was absolutely delicious it truly was!! You can tell that food is authentic as it comes, the gentleman working there really make you feel welcome with the excellent customer service and the fact he gives you a back story on how they got started just really made the experience even better!! I had the Escovitch whole snapper plate with cabbage, plantains and the pepper sauce on the side. I was really impressed with my meal, this was by far the best tasting food I ever had but that cabbage was made with love and spice (seriously) when I tell you every bite tasted better than the last is the absolute best way I can explain it.. oh and the plantains were the sweetest I ever had and was cooked to perfection!! I could go on and on about how good my meal was.. My coworker had the bbq jerk chicken with rice and cabbage, oh that was amazing it's really love at first bite (considering I tried some of their food) ☺️ the rice and peas were cooked to perfection, the chicken was tender and juicy and that sauce was the absolute best!!! My other coworker had the curry vegan meatballs with rice and peas and cabbage.. let me tell you the curry and meatball combination was a great match, it was full of flavor and the curry just enhanced all of the flavors it was truly delicious!! It was an absolutely great experience coming to this restaurant so much so that I'm coming back tomorrow to try the oxtails!!! And I will be leaving another review for that as well!!! So please visit this restaurant I promise you won't regret it..

Ordered filet snapper red beans and rice with cabbage. They charged me $34. The snapper was very fishy and over cooked. My first and last time coming. I recommend Jamaican Way.

1 star for the food, 1 star for the service, and 1 star for the space/location. Oxtails were very tender, although no real depth of flavor (had a nice kick). Jerk was nicely done, again the flavor was a little flat. It’s a good spot to grab a quick jerk chicken salad which is hard to come by.

Ordered the ox tail plate. The Ox tail was fall apart and delicious. Cabbage has a perfect touch of spice and seasoning. Plantain was excellent. The quality and quantities were surprising.
The gentleman that served me was very helpful and friendly.

The food is ok. If I was anywhere outside of Nashville, it would’ve been unacceptable. The oxtails need to be cooked longer to make them tender. The price is also a bit high. The food definitely needs to be approved to match the price point.
