The last few times I've been in Nashville, I've always found myself at Rippy's. Food doesn't disappoint (baby back ribs is always a GOOD choice) and the drinks speak for themselves. Add in whatever band is playing at the current moment (shout out to Christopher J. Essex and his crew last weekend on Fri). If you find yourself in Nashville and want a good ol' down home Honky Tonk vibe, these guys get it done. Will be back!

Historic honky tonk with cold beer, good drinks and atmosphere. It’s a good place.. not great as there is plenty of competition on Broadway, but it’s worth a stop in. We were there in the afternoon, so the bands playing were good.. they have several floors so you can get a drink and enjoy the band of your choice. Be aware.. this is not a camera friendly establishment… so security will ask you to park your DSLR.. “camera phones are ok. Downer for me.. but it’s not uncommon in this setting.

Love the location at the start of the Honky Tonks. Always good music. Sat on the 2nd floor mid-day at open window. Band in the corner. Perfect afternoon for our last day in Nashville. Food is good, not necessarily great, but yummy. Staff was. Bit inattentive, but good enough.

We were a party of 3, we were never acknowledged after 10 minutes I went to the bar to order drinks and the female bartender informed me that we had a server and that we had to order from her. I told the bartender it had already been 10 minutes and she said well your server is busy. Bartender was just sitting there, she should have have offered to help the server. After sitting for a few more minutes without being helped we left. The band was very good too bad the employees of this establishment have zero customer service knowledge! Went to Jelly Rolls (was much busier) was acknowledged by our server immediately and had our drinks within 3 minutes. Don't waste your money or time at Rippys.

Walked right in and enjoyed a fabulous pulled chicken sandwich. Washed it down with a ice cold beer. Band was awesome as well.
Food is awesome. Got the baby back rib wrap. The smoke coming off the pork was unlike anything I've had previously. Seven in our party. Everyone had a great meal. If you want great barbecue, come here

Im normally one to take a dozen pictures everywhere we go but was just caught up in the moment at Rippy's and didn't take any! We started our Saturday 10/4/25 almost as soon as they opened and it was great from the start. The food was some of the best on Broadway, the band was great, our waitress was awesome and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
That's just the first of two reviews earned in the same day. After all day on Broadway and a night at the Grand Ole Opry, we headed back out to Broadway where of course we decided of all the places on Broadway to visit, to go back to Rippy's. Saturday night it was a full house, the band was yet again fantastic, the bbq could win any competition and will make you want more but this part of the review is for Jayce (sp?) We we're lucky enough to snag a table near the band and just a moment after sitting down, Jaycee our waitress who we happened to have at 11am was still rocking it at 12pm. It's said 46,000 people can visit Nashville on any given day. She immediately recognized us even though we had changed clothes for the opry, remembered what we had ordered from our first stop 13 hours earlier, and was still smiling and working her butt off! As small business owners ourselves, my wife and I would be honored to have anyone like that on our staff. We spent 4 days in Nashville and travel several times a year and she is by far one of the best employees we've ever seen! Rippy's you've got it all: Good Music, Great Food, and an employee that can out serve all of Nashville!
