The BBQ food here was amazing. The ribs were cooked perfect. The chicken sandwich was good too. The fries were perfect. The potato salad and baked beans were really good too. The music was great.

The last few times I've been in Nashville, I've always found myself at Rippy's. Food doesn't disappoint (baby back ribs is always a GOOD choice) and the drinks speak for themselves. Add in whatever band is playing at the current moment (shout out to Christopher J. Essex and his crew last weekend on Fri). If you find yourself in Nashville and want a good ol' down home Honky Tonk vibe, these guys get it done. Will be back!

In search of food while bar hopping, my husband and I decided to give this place a try. Pleasantly surprised can't possibly describe how we felt. When seated the upstairs floor seemed WALL TO WALL with patrons listening to the band. Meghan, the only waitress to be seen was running her ass off! When she made it to our table, she was so friendly and very helpful with the choices we made for dinner. She NEVER slowed down & never missed a beat the rest of the time we were there. She checked on us, our food, & our drinks several times, which hadn't happened ANYWHERE on Broadstreet the entire weekend. Our food came out quickly, granted it was only hamburgers and sides. However, with the number of people partying and the few staff we saw..... we definitely thought it would take forever. Not only did the food come out quickly, it came without mistakes! The drinks were nearly full the entire time were were at the table! The band was amazing and performing all genres of music. Numerous people were dancing and making song requests. Without question, this was the best time we had while visiting Nashville! We will definitely be making this a go-to for our next return. P.S. Meghan S. NEEDS A RAISE! She HANDLED the ENTIRE floor alone! She said she preferred it that away!!! Best waitress in Nashville!

Historic honky tonk with cold beer, good drinks and atmosphere. It’s a good place.. not great as there is plenty of competition on Broadway, but it’s worth a stop in. We were there in the afternoon, so the bands playing were good.. they have several floors so you can get a drink and enjoy the band of your choice. Be aware.. this is not a camera friendly establishment… so security will ask you to park your DSLR.. “camera phones are ok. Downer for me.. but it’s not uncommon in this setting.
Great meal, fantastic music all in a great downtown location. It was Mt 2nd time going here and it does not disappoint.

Nice bar and fantastic band when we were there on 19th Oct 2025. Unfortunately the lady that was working behind the bar was most ignorant. She received a tip that was representative of the service she provided. She then decided not to serve us a d said she didn't work for free. Well miss....if you show some manners to customers then you will receive good tips!

Love the location at the start of the Honky Tonks. Always good music. Sat on the 2nd floor mid-day at open window. Band in the corner. Perfect afternoon for our last day in Nashville. Food is good, not necessarily great, but yummy. Staff was. Bit inattentive, but good enough.

We were a party of 3, we were never acknowledged after 10 minutes I went to the bar to order drinks and the female bartender informed me that we had a server and that we had to order from her. I told the bartender it had already been 10 minutes and she said well your server is busy. Bartender was just sitting there, she should have have offered to help the server. After sitting for a few more minutes without being helped we left. The band was very good too bad the employees of this establishment have zero customer service knowledge! Went to Jelly Rolls (was much busier) was acknowledged by our server immediately and had our drinks within 3 minutes. Don't waste your money or time at Rippys.

Walked right in and enjoyed a fabulous pulled chicken sandwich. Washed it down with a ice cold beer. Band was awesome as well.
