Amazing Food!! I had the Salmon. My friends had the catfish and the bbq chicken. Everything was sooo good. The sides. Literally everything. Even the kool-aid. The service was excellent. Everyone was very friendly. From the outside I was skeptical, but it was better than I could have imagined. If you haven’t been here. Go! You won’t be disappointed.

I felt like I wasted my money. I haven’t had fried fish in a while…let alone greens and baked beans. To charge $4-5 for a side and to serve canned greens with no seasonings along with dried baked beans that were reheated is very disappointing. The catfish is not a catfish. It’s small with no seasoning and great at that. Hot sauce is fake, looks like red dye when you put it on the fish. For this to be a black owned company I can’t imagine how many people have been unsatisfied with the food. I wasted $22 on a plate that didn’t not only NOT get me full but also had to force myself to eat because I paid my money. This is not cool and I won’t be referring anyone here.

Oh. My. Gosh. Tonight was my first time going here & I can't even find the words to explain how AMAZING everything we got was! We will be coming back here for a long time to come. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the food was to die for. Run don't walk over there and get something!

Wide variety of options when it came to the food and the mural inside was definitely impressive. There was unfortunately not a bathroom for customers. Definitely more of a takeout restaurant than a sit down restaurant. Parking was owned by Hair salon next-door, didn’t have to pay, but was a little misleading for this business.

First time here..just wanted some greens..I hate to try new places and waste my money.. got to the car and ate a bite..those greens were off the chain. I actually went back to buy some for my lunch tomorrow. This is truly a hidden gem. Lady up front was so nice even guy in back engaged in friendly conversation..Will be back very soon to try a plate..

The customer service was very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and I definitely felt the love put into the food. While I was waiting for my food another customer had just got done eating and before they left they spoke on how good their meal was.

Excellent service! Gentleman at the counter (Robert I think?) and another patron gave perfect recommendations for my family visiting from the PNW. Turkey ribs and pulled pork were amazing, and the catfish sandwich melted in my mouth. Cajun fries worth the seasoning! Wish we were here longer to try the brisket tomorrow!
This our 4th time this week eating here , we found it by googling soul food in east Nashville. Had catfish first , then burger and pulled pork , then today pot roast . Had the kool -aid and Chess Squares and Carrot bunt cake . We try to taste each item on the menu to get a feel for the place and its food . We do reviews on local restaurants in the community and this is a little gem tucked off on Dickerson Road I hope is here to stay . Please support your local restaurants and your people! Prices are also another reason I keep coming back not too expensive and you can’t beat the plate price and sides ect . Customer service is also very friendly and explains the menu and very understanding to new customers. Very refreshing to have customer service who doesn’t seem to hate their job or have attitude when helping great job !
