Took my husband here, it was both of our first time. Don't be fooled by the building outside. I cant speak the inside because I didn't go in. His food was sooooo good. Although he asked for grilled porkchops they gave him fried......still was good. The smell made me ask for a piece. Lol. He ordered grilled porkchops Cabbage and greens and an order of cheese fries and a lemonade all for $20 Portions were small but the order of cheese fries was standard. All in all I would definitely return when im in nashville except I'll be ordering me something next time. Lol

When I say this place is a must-try, I mean it! Everything on my plate was delicious. The gentleman who took my order was very professional and communicated with me perfectly. I came looking for soul food, and that’s exactly what I got—10/10. Oh, and the Kool-Aid? Just like I used to make it as a kid—sweet and nostalgic. Pro tip: get it with ice!

Me and my fiance wanted to try something different so we came here we ordered one pork chop sandwich one order of onion rings and an order of wings. Wings were ok the onion rings are cooked but slightly under cooked and the pork chop sandwich well that came with a tiny slice of tomato and a small piece of lettuce and the bread was regular cheap sandwich sliced bread but the kicker is that the pork chop was really thin and has the bone still on it… seems like they source there food through savalot!!!! Don’t go here!!!! Bill was 30 bucks for next to nothing!!!! And food was not anything to write home about in a good way!!!

Amazing Food!! I had the Salmon. My friends had the catfish and the bbq chicken. Everything was sooo good. The sides. Literally everything. Even the kool-aid. The service was excellent. Everyone was very friendly. From the outside I was skeptical, but it was better than I could have imagined. If you haven’t been here. Go! You won’t be disappointed.

I felt like I wasted my money. I haven’t had fried fish in a while…let alone greens and baked beans. To charge $4-5 for a side and to serve canned greens with no seasonings along with dried baked beans that were reheated is very disappointing. The catfish is not a catfish. It’s small with no seasoning and great at that. Hot sauce is fake, looks like red dye when you put it on the fish. For this to be a black owned company I can’t imagine how many people have been unsatisfied with the food. I wasted $22 on a plate that didn’t not only NOT get me full but also had to force myself to eat because I paid my money. This is not cool and I won’t be referring anyone here.
Oh. My. Gosh. Tonight was my first time going here & I can't even find the words to explain how AMAZING everything we got was! We will be coming back here for a long time to come. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the food was to die for. Run don't walk over there and get something!

Wide variety of options when it came to the food and the mural inside was definitely impressive. There was unfortunately not a bathroom for customers. Definitely more of a takeout restaurant than a sit down restaurant. Parking was owned by Hair salon next-door, didn’t have to pay, but was a little misleading for this business.

First time here..just wanted some greens..I hate to try new places and waste my money.. got to the car and ate a bite..those greens were off the chain. I actually went back to buy some for my lunch tomorrow. This is truly a hidden gem. Lady up front was so nice even guy in back engaged in friendly conversation..Will be back very soon to try a plate..

The customer service was very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and I definitely felt the love put into the food. While I was waiting for my food another customer had just got done eating and before they left they spoke on how good their meal was.

Excellent service! Gentleman at the counter (Robert I think?) and another patron gave perfect recommendations for my family visiting from the PNW. Turkey ribs and pulled pork were amazing, and the catfish sandwich melted in my mouth. Cajun fries worth the seasoning! Wish we were here longer to try the brisket tomorrow!
