I mean what do you expect from a sushi chain? Even though Music City is hardly a Japanese hotspot, most sushi joints in Nashville can execute pretty impressive dishes. And almost nobody can mess up unagi nigiri (eel sushi). Well, unfortunately Rock N Roll completely botched it! Serving dry eel with no eel sauce? Mystery meat that looked way past its prime and may not have even been eel? Really? Yuck!

Even the shrimp and yellowtail nigiri weren’t made correctly. The ginger tasted like it was expired, and once they bring you a glass of water don’t ever expect them to fill it up (not once, not even after two hours while catching up with friends)!

The Thriller Roll is equally unimpressive, although a rare highlight was the Cajun-seasoned crawfish that came with it. The roll was pleasantly crispy. But the taste? Nope. And more stale ginger in a very, very small quantity? Oof. All this for over $50 before the tip? Come on, you’ve got to do better than that!

This is a fun sushi spot with excellent servers and a good vibe. They have some interesting rolls on the menu, so definitely worth the stop.

I ordered the Maine Event (filet steak, lobster, and fried rice), and I was incredibly disappointed. The presentation was lackluster—definitely not what I expected for the price. Unfortunately, the taste was even worse. The entire dish was drowning in sauce, making it overly salty and completely masking the flavors. I couldn’t even taste the lobster, which was served in small, unrecognizable pieces. This was not the high-quality meal I anticipated. I won’t be returning.

Excellent!! A great atmosphere, food, and service. It was my first time eating here, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. They have more than just sushi so if you have those who don't appreciate the soosh then they are still good. Hibachi, Ramen, and great appetizers. I had the Tour Bus Rolls and the Tuna Fried Rice!! Our server was most excellent also. I took a photo of my plate, but I had ro eat it prior to taking it. Was just too good!! Will definitely comeback. The menu is loaded with selections.

If I had 1 suggestion. Make a tray that has the most popular rolls on 1 plate. Allow people to try several different rolls so they can know what to order next time!!

Kelsey was friendly and answered all our questions. Atmosphere was nice and I loved the music that was playing when we were there. Food was good. I'd recommend British Invasion Roll and the Prima Donna

Food tasted great but the serving size was terrible for $27.00. I probably could have gotten more for the same price at a hibachi grill. I was splitting it with my son so it was pretty slim.

The pictures look amazing but the realty is not. Too much crab or crawfish on top and not enough sauce on both of the sushi rolls I ordered. I got a kids hibachi and thought it was coming with yum yum sauce and it instead came with red sauce.. my kid was not happy. Won’t be back. Chain sushi that just isn’t good.

Waited almost an hour to get 5 rolls and was over $75 with tip. Worst sushi I have ever had. They put a ton of sauce on everything. Americanized sushi made by hipsters. TERRIBLE.

Don't support any business that partners with "toast" they are a scam and will steal your food. Had to call the restruant twice to get refunded and they still stole my tip.

Food was way too over priced for the amount and kind of sushi. I got one roll and fried rice. $34 dollars for one person. The sushi wasn't even 1" OD and was really nothing but toppings. Even the wasabi tasted cut.
Tasted okay but not worth the money be better off going to Kroger on Wednesday and getting the 8.99 roll made daily which is very close to twice the size of these. Not a place to get moneys worth.
