Intimate New Orleans style jazz venue. Not a bad seat in the house. Good cocktails, decent food, great music.

Always a good time if you want something hidden away a bit from the tourists. They aren't flocking to this town to watch live jazz.

We were in town for the holiday season and went to Ruby’s Jazz Room. Loved it! The music was amazing. The staff and service were amazing. The staff genuinely acted like they enjoyed their jobs!

First timer and I had a gift certificate from last Christmas and it’s Christmas time again🌲 . So it’s a good time to use it. “Key” (Keira), was the second person we came in contact with here. She is a SUPER HOSTESS! First class lady. And I don’t want to forget Linde who answered my emails speedily and made our reservation. I met her via email. Then I met Matthew, a famous Bartender who takes pride in being a mixologist.
We also met the Manager of the evening, “Jana”. She’s very personable, friendly and knowledgeable. We stayed for 2 shows. The first one was Christmassing: New Classics for the Old Soul feat. LaLa Deaton & Blue Champagne . And the second show was Regi Wooten and friends.
The ambience reminds me of a speak easy bar room.
Dim lighted room and romantic I’d you are, or on a date. :-). Our server is Trey and John. Trey is personable, friendly and honest. ( I say that because I asked what would he suggest for dinner.). Thanks Trey!
John forgot that we had ordered a drink and remembered later in the show. We had the fried pickles, Gumbo, and, po’ boy shrimp sandwich and side salad. Fried pickles was a plentifully serving for 2 people. I got a bowl of Gumbo. I disappointed because I was looking for the andouille sausage, shrimp, and, chicken. Mostly soup with 2 scoops of rice. Well It got left out of my bowl :-( My husband had a shrimp Po’ Boy . He was disappointed because he said that he got maybe 4-5,shrimp and his sandwich was mostly bread. Not like the Po’ Boy sandwiches that we have in Nola.
I will say that the salad was good.
I wouldn’t order food off the menu again because I was expecting to get more for my money. It’s not cheap! It’s not expensive neither but you would think you would get More for your money. Overall I gave it 3 stars because the food was subpar, and the drinks are pricey. The bathrooms were clean and personally it could use a facelift. The chairs are worn and tattered tables are very very small inside. Maybe enough for one person to eat on, but that’s what you would expect in the speakeasy.

Great experience. Pleasant atmosphere, with great acoustics. The band that performed was excellent. Highlight for the vocalist and the first-class Christmas repertoire. In addition, of course, to good Brazilian music including names like Tom Jobim, João Gilberto and much more. Top band. I highly recommend it.

Great sounding jazz club in the heart of Nashville, keeping the true spirit of jazz alive.

Wonderful jazz club. My boyfriend and I happened upon Rudys by complete chance after dinner one evening. We caught the tail end of their early show and fell in love....
We have now been back several times.

Drinks are great--check out the happy hour-- food genuinely brings me back to Louisiana, and I spent over 5 years there. Do yourself a favor and whatever you order.... also add a side of French bread. It's what a real poboy should be served on.

The music is always fantastic as well. Genuine artists, real music.

Oh and they have a salsa night too! 💃

Really great venue for jazz but do be aware it fills up quickly so either buy tickets in advance or get there early! Much better to sit down than have to stay in the standing room area

The salsa band was great, but I was unaware that it would get so crowded. it was intimate with a few dancers. I get that its a club, but my first visit was different.
Service was slow with only one server, The gumbo was bland.
