Jimmy Sullivan’s Swinging Scene was a delight and great fun. Both his music and stories were wonderful. While the menu was limited, everything we ordered was delicious. Great experience! Great place. We visited from California and wanted to make sure that we did all the things at the locals had suggested. The music was phenomenal. The ambiance was great. You had to pay a cover charge to get in which was $14 for Thursday evening. Although I think it changes depending on what band is playing and on specific days. They offered food until 10:30 p.m. And I did not feel like the drinks were overly priced. I definitely plan on coming back to Nashville...
We were looking for unique experiences that did not include the typical country music. We decided to check out this place as my partner loves jazz. It was a fun experience. We happened to be there on their Latin jazz night, so the vibe was electric. I would certainly recommend coming here. And I hope to see more diverse spots for live music in the “music city”.
