Got carryout from here on a Thursday evening. The internet says they close at 10 PM, however when I was walking in to get my carryout at 8:45 the employee was in the middle of flipping the open sign on the door to closed. I thought this was weird considering I paid for my sushi online and did not know why they were 'closing'. The best roll of these 3 would be the Samurai roll. The other 2 were bland and not much flavor at all. I will give them another try, maybe dine-in the next time.

Pretty and the waiter was good. I ordered the seafood pancake, the KFC (Korean fried wings) and the japchae. The wings were small but good, although they were already cooked and were not hot, the pancake was ok, a little too thick for my liking but again ok, the japchae I had to return back. Japchae is my absolute favorite Korean dish, I have been to Korea several times, plus my best friend is Korean and her and her mother always save some when they make it. I was served noodles that were stuck together, super mushy and the only vegetables were carrots, white onions and green peppers!!!!! WTF!! Will I come back, nope. Umami's is a much better choice and although they are in Lenox village, I will do the drive!! So freaking disappointed r

So.... When we went they had no cocktail selection. They were in the process of redoing their list and were only able to offer well drinks.. we ordered a Philadelphia roll, crunchy spring roll and a dynamite roll and I promise you we could not tell the difference between ANY OF THEM. Our bill comes out and I leave a tip for our server .. tell me why I check my bank account the next day and they charged me the total for our meal and the grand total plus the tip $70 bill plus $85 total and tip for a grand total of $155!!!! Do not go here unless you want to get swindled for trying to leave a tip :)

Very tasty. Seems to be a little scattered on the menu, bar, etc offerings at the moment.

What an amazing and yummy restaurant! I came here with 6 other people around 8:30 for a late dinner on a Saturday night. There was no wait and plenty of open tables. This restaurant is a hybrid sushi and Korean food place. Our food was phenomenal - we got a ton of various dishes. The sushi rolls were all delectable and fresh. The gyoza and sushi rolls were a fan fav! Our server was so polite, attentive and sweet. Our food came out relatively fast and we seriously loved everything here! The prices were very affordable, as well. I'd easily come here again and recommend it to others in the Nashville area.

Love this place! Ever since I moved to Germantown from Miami Beach, FL, this has been one of my local favorite sushi spot. Everything is delicious and The Bibimbap StonePot is amazing a must try. I try to come every week to show some local support!

So we loved the samurai on west side - hearing that is closed as of 9/21 so gave the German Town local a try but service and attitude is terrible. We ordered a number of dishes for take out including sashimi, rolls, and apps. About a $80 order. The food was not bad but the follow up customer service on their mistakes on a carry out sucked - and it takes me a bunch to say that as I usually roll with opportunities that a business may have. Background: My issue was we called back on phone when we got home with order and discovered the 4 sashimi orders of 3 pieces (per menu) each had 2. We also had no ginger or wasabi for the large order. When we called back to inquire about shortages he responded on phone "well you got fish, didn't it taste good?" Regarding the short of multiple sashimi the comment was "oh, I guess we should change the menu". Just a few different comments on the issues and all would be ok as a few mistakes, but the attitude There are many other places in Nashville that actually want your repeat business ...

I ordered a spicy tuna roll and the Dr. Bob roll. Both were very fresh and tasty, esp the Dr. Bob roll. It was the spicy scallops on top of Dr. Bob for me. Will def come back to try more!

I really don't wanna give this review, but it's the experience we had tonight. Perhaps the issue was we expected this to be a Korean restaurant and therefore were disappointed. Started with the sushi which ended up being the best part of the meal. Then came the Korean food. The seafood pancake was not good at all. It was undercooked and an awful texture. It was under seasoned and underwhelming. The hot stone bibimbap was not hot enough so my absolute fave part - the crunchy rice bits - were not there. Also don't expect banchan cause you get none. My husband is from Seoul and was super disappointed in the meal. I'd recommend you go with sushi or any non Korean dish if you eat here.

I have wanted to try Samurai Sushi for a long time but previously I was only aware of the original location (it may have been the only one until more recently) and every time I was in the mood to give them a shot, they were closed. Thankfully, this location keeps much longer hours. We met some friends and between the four of us got to try many different sushi rolls and appetizers. Every thing I ate I enjoyed a lot---from the "avocado bomb" app and crab rangoons to the simple rolls (yellowtail) and more complex (playboy). Prices are super fair, there's decent parking, and it's nice and clean. The only slight complaint I have based on our single visit so far is that while our server was very friendly and seemed like a nice person, he also seemed to be very new to serving in general. It was dead when we were here and it took forever for him to check in on us, to take our orders, to bring things like napkins (and we had to ask for everything, from enough silverware/chopsticks for the table to plates with the appetizer dishes, etc.). That said, I've certainly had worse service. I'll definitely be back.

My friend got food poisoning via Kimchi Pancake. His defeated body was an incredible sight. The toilet in our Airbnb was basically his lover. He solely ruined the trip. Highly recommended for Medieval poison strats.

Food was good, staff were very attentive and friendly. We came in with 14 people and they were able to accommodate all of us.

Eating here was a last minute decision and I'm so glad we did! This place was dead on a Wednesday night with about 2 other tables dining in while we were there. The place does not seem overly aesthetic and, especially towards the bathrooms, a little dirty and unorganized. The server greeted us promptly and brought waters when he did. We ordered the jalapeño bomb as an appetizer and woah! They were amazing. It was a jalepeno popper, but stuffed with tuna and spicy crab. I ordered the dragon noodles with beef. The description seemed to just be drunken noodles but with egg and a spicier sauce. They were absolutely delicious! I would absolutely recommend them and order them again. My boyfriend ordered the drunken noodles and there was so much cilantro that it was almost unenjoyable. We also shared the Vandy roll and I've had a lot of sushi a lot of different places and this was one of the best rolls I've had! I usually don't care for fried sushi, but this wasn't overly breaded and you could still taste the sushi. With all of the food and my boyfriend's beer, the meal cost $60 so definitely on the affordable side. We will definitely be back!
