We had a reservation at Sho for over a month at the bar so that we could watch the chefs making the pizza. Despite being on time for our reservation, they informed us that bar seats would not be available. We were sat quickly at a table but were disappointed that we weren’t at the bar watching the chefs. We made our disappointment known, but it really only resulted in our service being lackluster. Our server did not share the specials with us (we overheard her telling another table), our salad was not explained that it had fish (and we had a shellfish allergy at the table, which was noted in the reservation), and one cocktail wasn’t full. When it came time for the check, we never saw the bill, only the electronic payment system, which was placed on front of us, and the server watched us as we tipped. It just overall was an awkward situation, but the food was delicious! It just wasn’t worth it for the low service we received.

Overall we had a solid experience at Sho Pizza Bar. If you are looking for an Americanized spin on Japanese-style pizza this spot will somewhat meet that mark. The resturant has some unique offering like seasonal snacks, creative cocktails, and unique desserts that we really enjoyed. These were really the highlights and we’ll be raving about them for weeks. The pizza itself did not really live up to the hype. Very floppy crust caused the toppings on our pie to basically fall off when we attempted to hold it and over-all it just tasted basically the same as your average wood fired pizza spot. For pizza there are certainly better options in Nashville but for sides and vibes it was a nice spot. Conceptually, this place hits the mark and I’d recommend people give Sho a try for sure, but with tempered expectations for their main attraction (the pizza).

Honestly, this is probably one of the best pizzas I've had in my life. Very rarely do i give out 5 star reviews but this place deserves it. The service was great, the food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was charming. We had a salad, pizza and dessert and all 3 were fantastic. Our server was friendly and checked on us just the right amount. And finally, I loved the fact that the entire kitchen was visible. Overall a great experience. Price wise, a party of 2 will spend roughly $60-$100, drinks, dessert and tip depending

The pizza was decent, but way overpriced for Nashville — felt more like L.A. or New York pricing. What really stood out, though, were the sassy, uptight waiters. Whatever happened to Nashville’s famous southern hospitality? Everyone seemed too cool to smile or be friendly. It’s a shame, because the atmosphere could be great if the staff had even half the warmth this city is known for.

I’m ready to declare my unchecked love and devotion for Sho Pizza. This was mine and my friend’s first time at the pizza shop and wow were we impressed!

The hostess and waitress were so kind, the seasonal cocktail I had was delicious and the pizza? Mouthwatering. We ordered the Godfather and Salumi pizzas to share and while they’re completely opposite palate-wise, both are cooked to perfection.

The restaurant itself is pretty intimate and I don’t think you could comfortably sit 30 people, but I think that enhances the experience. You have a view of the oven and team no matter where you’re seated.

If you’re looking for a low key vibe with 5-star food in east, go to Sho!

Was sat at the bar and Ryan, the bar tender, was incredible! Not only did he recommend amazing food and drink options, but was personable, communicative, and super fun despite Sho being a little short staffed that evening. Ash and Sammy also swung by and made me feel like not only a regular, but part of the family! Can I give 6 stars?!

The food is always spectacular. Ask about the specials. There is always something creative and delicious. The staff is friendly and warm. Ask for recommendations about sauces to go with the pizzas. You won't be disappointed.
