LOVED this spot. Worth the wait, you feel welcome by being able to order a drink to enjoy while you wait!! Then once you step inside and get seated, you feel cozy and ready to enjoy brunch, right next to someone else! The family size table concept is a vibe. Highly recommend!
The Sky Blue Cafe was a really cute joint. The place is small and you have potential to be seated next to someone you might not know. This was a great place if you are craving a more northern brunch menu selection. The tea was great there and you could by the Garden tea in the small store next door!
Parking: Around the area, there are limited street parking. You might have to get creative with finding a parking spot.

Bad all around experience. Walked right in, seated, and continued to be ignored for about 15 minutes until I asked if I was allowed to order. No silverware brought to table, no menu brought to table, counted six tables that were seated and orders taken after we sat down. Finally ordered a coffee with my breakfast. Finished breakfast and still no coffee. When I mentioned my frustration, server responded as if it were my fault. I realize it’s one of the “cool” East Nashville breakfast places but there’s a lot of other places to spend my $$.

Great service, worth the wait. Dial up the flavor on the basics to make them stand out. Like the pancakes. Great vegatarian options and super fresh. Coffee is really hot and yummy.

Awesome little local place. I had the chicken biscut sandwich with pepper jelly and goat cheese. It was fantastic, especially after eating a subpar hotel breakfast. Loved the decor and the service was awesome. The girl who was waiting on us even saw our daughter (4 yrs) getting a little restless and gave her some books to read at the table. Great great place!!!! ❤

On vacation and we wanted breakfast at a Mom and Pop Nashville type of place. Food was yummy, staff/service young and informative about Nashville. Atmosphere charming.

Let me start by saying that I am picky about breakfast restaurants as, imo, simpler breakfasts are the best breakfasts. Servers were really nice, fun ambiance but the southwest burrito and breakfast sandwich we had were pretty average.
The biscuits were the best thing we had, they were incredible…. However, the burrito lacked flavor but table salt helped bring the flavors out. Breakfast sandwich needed more bacon and less mayo. Coffee was good tho!

here is my take on sky blue cafe: located close to downtown nashville, quiet neighborhood, easy to park, you start feeling like a local, once I cross the doors I am most definitely in a “ southern home”, the original walls and authentic tables capture the real essence of what the food is expected to be; a local southern experience… and to my surprise, the best most authentic breakfast I have had in nashville, Congratulations to the owners and the cheff, to my server and the staff. terrific work on the potatoes, absolutely well cooked and soft, a pleasure to have them on a bowl mix with real juicy shop tomatoes and a fresh well cut red onions, a good balance the shredded cheese, and good touch with farm eggs on top of sausage and fluffy biscuit. thanks to places like this, we can keep a real american south gastronomic culture alive. congrats guys.

The food is absolutely terrific and the space is very cozy, with a local/hole in the wall feel. The server that we had forgot to put my girlfriend’s order in and would rather argue with us about than admit he was wrong or apologize. Another server helped us out though and that’s the only reason I would give service 2 stars.
