This food truck came to my job this past weekend and I was really excited to try them. Food smelled delicious as co-workers walked by with their orders so I decided to give it a go! I specifically ordered the "Carolina Gold" flavor and this was confirmed by 3 guys standing on the food truck, but somehow the young guy ringing up my order punched in something totally different. I paid for my order and went back inside until it was ready. I returned for my order which was bagged up, tied, and receipt stapled to the bag handles. I work in the ER so I couldn't eat immediately after getting back to my work desk. By the time I opened it to find out my order was completely wrong, the food truck was packing up to leave. The woman working with them had not driven off yet so I approached her about my order and she literally looked at me and said "You got what you paid for, there's nothing we can do about it after the truck is packed up!" I was very disappointed because I paid $20 for the one meal and the chicken ended up being totally disgusting and flavorless! I don't know if they ran out of salt or seasoning salt but it was so bland I couldn't even finish the wings, I tried dipping it in some BBQ sauce we had in the kitchen but I could still taste the grease. I threw it away after attempting to eat 3 of the 10 wings. I will never order from this establishment again, mainly due to the poor customer service when my order was wrong!Update to the response:I had not taken a bite from the food when I spoke to you at the car! All I had done was open my food and looked inside to see it was the wrong order. When I ordered the food I specifically asked for the Carolina Gold, and if I'm spending my money and have my mouth set on a certain flavor then you can not discount my disappointment! When ordering, your business doesn't provide a receipt until you pick up the order so I was not able to see that it was punched in wrong if I didn't have the ticket. As you stated, I am a nurse in the ER and did not have time to open the bag as soon as I got back to my desk. When I met you at the car I was not eating! I'm not sure where you got that from because I was still on the clock and only ran over to where the truck was parked to try to catch you before you left. I had not sat down to eat at all yet so I did not know that the chicken wasn't even good! Maybe the sauce would have made it better! But again, that's for me to decide and not for you to tell me that my opinion is harsh or unwarranted! Thank you for your blessings though because I did find some Honey Gold wings that hit the spot!

We’ve been going to Slow Burn for years - since they were at their old location near Rivergate. The family that owns this business is so kind and welcoming and they have the same love for their customers that they do for their food!We love to get the tender meals, but they also have great salads. And don’t miss out on their waffles for breakfast! I’ve noticed a few newer things on their menu too that I hope to try in the future.Everything is served hot and fresh and delicious. Their hit chicken is definitely hot but if you want just a little heat, I recommend the sprinkle. And yes! You want pickles! You can’t have hot chicken without pickles.I love their sauces too but I’m partial to their ranch. It’s just so good and creamy!Parking: I’ve never had trouble parking at this location. Plenty of space.Kid-friendliness: The kids menu here is great, with kid favorites like chicken tenders, fries, and mac and cheese. Good portion. Good price.

Came in hungry and tired. I ordered a hot chicken burrito, inferno heat( don't remember the official name) and was highly satisfied. When I order a burrito, I want something that takes both hands to pick up. This one was the perfect size and had good flavor. Woman up front was really nice, even got a thank you. I will be coming here again.

The food is always fresh and amazing. My husband has tried every hot chicken place in the area and always chooses Slow Burn. Easily his #1 favorite restaurant over all. We eat here all the time now since they came to Hendersonville. The restaurant is always clean. Amazing, friendly staff. Always love seeing the notes they leave on the packaging. Will always come back!

The younger woman behind the counter had lack luster mannerisms about her, not unprofessional but the feeling of her not wanting to be there. The inside of the store is comforting and looks inviting, the rest of the staff was very pleasant. The food was really good. We got 2x 3 tender meals as they couldn't mix heat levels, medium and Nashville hot. Wanted to try the other heat levelsThe tenders were seasoned well and cooked to perfection- the heat levels were just right but the honey BBQ dipping sauce was a winner too. Fries were fresh, crispy and delicious.Would go back there again when in Nashville

I had a fantastic experience at Slow Burn Hot Chicken in Hendersonville, TN. The staff was friendly and helpful when choosing the spice level. I opted for the slow burn spice level, which was deliciously spicy with a hint of sweetness. The food was fresh, and they offer late-night dining, making it a convenient and enjoyable choice for a spicy meal.

So yesterday, I decided to make the trek from Lebanon to get some hot chicken from our favorite spot for my fiancé and I (yes I drove 40 min. for ? ?). I paid for our meals, sat at a table, and once she brought out my bags happiest headed out, absentmindedly leaving my purse behind. Having realize this when I got home, I called and had them hold it for me. Today I made the shameful trek back to retrieve my purse, embarrassed, beyond belief. Upon arriving I decided to try the grilled chicken Cobb salad which was really top notch, while I was waiting I overheard a church member approach the owner to inquire if she would be willing to sponsor an event by catering for it. Without hesitation, she said YES! The woman went on to explain that the children really love the food last time at which point she responded. "Well that's really great; that means EVERYTHING to me." I will add that this was a private conversation that I know she wanted know recognition for (sorry for eavesdropping) . All the contents of my purse were in tact ( I didn't even bother checking until I got home because I had no doubts). Thank you slow burn for being such a pillar in our community. I absolutely love this establishment, this family, and everything it represents. Lord give back tenfold what they contribute!!

Has probably the worst dining experience in TN. The whole place smelled heavily like cleaning chemicals. All the chemicals and cleaning supplies are out in the open and look disgusting. The entire property is in disarray. Everything’s broken or not properly cared for. The service was bad. The food was bad. This place went downhill fast. I’d love to see it make a comeback. It used to be a favorite.

Food was great!! I had the 3 tender meal with fries Southern Style Medium heat and they had great flavor and was very good quality chicken. My wife had the grilled chicken salad also with the Souther Style heat level, she enjoyed it as well. The place is very nicely done on the inside, the only issue I had was with cleanliness. The windowed doors you enter and exit thru were absolutely filthy and disgusting, and we were there at lunch time and it was not busy, so apparently they don't clean them often enough. The mens restroom was also pretty nasty and smelled. This place has amazing potential, it just needs to be cleaned and taken care of better. I would definitely go back and I would definitely recommend, I just hope these issue are addressed.

We came here hopeful; and we left almost devastated! This location is NOTHING like the location that resided in Madison. Where did the Madison location/staff/food go?! No, I seriously want to know. The food and hospitality at the Madison location was unrivaled. The food at this Hendersonville location was dry. The grits were so so, and the chicken had hardly no seasoning on it! I ordered hot lemon pepper - mind you it was neither hot nor had lemon pepper seasoning on it. So I bought a couple things of ranch thinking it might help. I was wrong. It didn’t help. I remember getting the Mac and cheese and it was kinda stale. And last but not least, there was like a total of 8-10 people in the entire establishment. That includes the staff. That should have been a sign from jump. Parking lot was basically empty. I should have known. That’s on me. The Madison location demanded a long line/lots of customers. If you don’t believe me, ask around! I looked and saw the east Nashville location is permanently closed. This location in Hendersonville should follow suit.

The Chicken sandwich meal with spice level Nashville Hot Rub actually justifies the name ‘Slow Burn’! Would highly recommend this place if you want to try the famous Nashville Hot Chicken!Vegetarian options: They do have plant based chicken options as well as other vegetarian options.

Super tasty classic southern food & a few options for vegetarians with meat alternatives! The Mac & Cheese bowls were delicious and I loved that there were lots of seating options to choose from so you could pick your own spice level. Service was pretty slow, but still worth going!Vegetarian options: They had a few options with vegan meat!

I decided to try Slow Burn for a late lunch around 3 p.m. The restaurant was empty, and an employee was cleaning. The restaurant was very clean, and there are multiple TVs mounted to watch. Funny signs (see pics) around the restaurant with many positive sentiments.I ordered 3 tenders (2 mild and 1 lemon hot pepper). The tenders are huge, so plan accordingly. My sides were okra and home fried potatoes. I definitely could have gone up to medium heat on the tenders. I was fearful of extreme burn, but now I know. The man at the counter that took my order was super friendly and funny. My order was packed for to go (he didn't ask), but I ate at the restaurant. I don't know if there is a difference in packaging for dine in. All orders are made fresh so there is a few minutes wait time on your order. If you are in a hurry, order ahead.I feel more confident about ordering in the future for heat purposes. By the time I finished my meal, the restaurant was filling up with hungry folks (always a good sign).

Phenomenal chicken if you’re looking for something spicy. A nice homey feel to the whole thing and was well worth traveling from Philadelphia to here.

I would drive 500 miles and I would walk 500 more… just to be the one who got a basket… of the best Nashville Hot chicken ever!! Once you’ve had this, you will never think of hot chicken the same again.
