The Snack Place is a tiny, walk-up, mom and pop diner located inside St. Thomas West Hospital, right beside a small Subway. The owner/operators are so nice, warm, and friendly, immediately making you feel like close friends. The service is bright and cheerful. The food is very good, affordable, and has great prices. Specific favorites include the homemade chili, which is warm, hearty, and comforting, the chicken pesto sandwich with rich flavors, and the BLT, which is the best ever. They also serve a simply delicious lettuce salad, baked goods, breakfast and lunch options, drinks, and grab and go snacks. It is a must-try spot that makes a hospital stay more pleasant.
