This spot instantly took me back to the mom and pop Korean restaurants of my childhood. The ones with K-music shows playing on the TV, traditional wooden tables, and that cozy, slightly worn-in feel that always hints at great food.

I ordered the kalbi and soondubu, and my first impression was solid. The banchan were fine, nothing memorable, but the kalbi was excellent: tender, flavorful, and perfectly grilled. The portion (five pieces) was smaller than I expected, but the taste easily made up for it. I’d give five stars for the kalbi alone.

The soondubu, however, missed the mark. The broth lacked depth, and while they kindly upped the spice level for me, it just meant more red pepper flakes without the rich, layered flavor I was hoping for. Given that this place specializes in soondubu, that’s what I based most of my rating on.

That said, the service was wonderful. The server was great and very kind, which made the experience feel warm and welcoming.

Overall, it’s a comforting spot when you’re craving Korean food, but I wouldn’t call it the best. Come for the kalbi, that’s the real standout. It looks like the pancakes are really popular here, so I’ll definitely come back to try them on my next visit.

The food here was DELICIOUS!! I had the beef bulgogi as well as a few dishes to share with my family who were visiting from Taiwan. They also thought the food was phenomenal. I wasn’t expecting such good seafood from a land-locked city! The atmosphere was very relaxing and inviting to all customers. I felt like I could spend all day at that restaurant. Not to mention the fantastic service. This is a family owned restaurant which means the food is made with live and care. My beef bulgogi was super delicious along with the rice noodles. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant!!

I’ve been a customer here for over ten years, and they’ve always had the best Korean seafood pancake around. The pancake is crispy, made with fresh squid and high-quality shrimp. Their tofu soup is delicious with just the right amount of seasoning, and the service has always been fast and efficient. The owner is friendly and welcoming.

I highly recommend the pancake — even though it feels a bit pricey these days due to inflation, we enjoy it every single time. We’ve tried seafood pancakes at many other places, but we always end up coming back here. No one else comes close

Best Korean in Nashville, a hidden gem. Been coming for dinner for years. The kimchi soup with beef is crave-able. Love the banchan (fermented side dishes) and watching k-pop. A rare treat to not have music blasting and being able to converse easily. Leave with a happy wallet and an even happier belly.

My favorite food

The best sundubu jjigae in town, it a great little mom and pop environment. Will always take the drive for this delicious soup. Excellent banchan too!

This place is old school and authentic! Whenever I have to be at the airport, this is my go to spot. The food is phenomenal and the price cannot be beat. You will not be disappointed. Service with a smile from Auntie who works there. She’s lovely and never let you run out of anything.
