The service at this place was Terrible!! It took us over 20 minutes to get service after being seated. On top of that it took another 20 minutes for us to get our first round of drinks. If I could say one thing that the atmosphere was nice but I can’t say that I’ll go back.

I really wanted to love this place because the ambience is beautiful, the atmosphere and décor are definitely a vibe. One of the waitstaff who initially assisted us was very kind, upbeat, and had great energy, which I appreciated.
Unfortunately, the overall service completely missed the mark.
I arrived around 5:45 PM, and as of 7:20 PM, I was still waiting on my food. Meanwhile, my friend received her meal and was nearly finished eating while I had nothing. Our table was only checked on once, and I was given a single cup of water with no updates afterward.
The most disappointing part was my interaction with a staff member named Tony. He was extremely rude, refused to let me speak with a manager, could not provide any estimate on when my food would arrive, and ultimately told me, “No disrespect, ma’am, but you don’t have to stay here. You can go ahead and leave if you’d like.” That response was unprofessional and unacceptable—especially after such a long wait.
The explanation given was that the restaurant was short-staffed and having kitchen issues, but that still doesn’t excuse the lack of communication or basic customer service.
Overall, the space looks better than the service delivers. With better staff training, communication, and management presence, this place could be great—but based on this experience, I wouldn’t return.

we waited a hour and 30 min for food then it was cool when I got it
We went to Soul on a Saturday. It wasn’t packed. The atmosphere was the best thing. Nice setup. Music and band was good. It took about 20 minutes for us to get greeted. We ordered an appetizer that we did not receive until after our food was out. We ordered margarita pitcher (passion fruit) on the rocks. We received frozen margarita but we decided to try it because it was hot and muggy in there. The margarita was watered down and just nasty. The waiter realized he gave us frozen and changed to on the rocks and we changed the flavor to Strawberry. It was also nasty. Our food came. We had a variety fish, steak, and lamb chops. Sides were yams Mac and cheese and greens. The lamb chops were very small. The fish was decent. Yams were too sweet. We decided to get another drink. We got the island tings and soul glow. Once again watered down and nasty. The vibe was good but otherwise the food and service was 3/10. We found this restaurant on TikTok and they gave it a good review but we did not have a good experience.
