I stopped in for a quick coffee and a biscuit sandwich to go. The coffee and sandwich were delicious and high quality. The vibe inside is bright and friendly. Stay Golden is an absolute must stop for locals or if you’re just visiting.

So much natural light! My oat milk latte was perfect and they had some fresh house-made cookies that were really tasty! Great patio too if you've got a dog or just wanna hang outside.

We love stay golden so much and this Nations location is killer for us west Nashville residents! Delicious gluten free (annd fully leaded for us non-gluten sensitive humans) breakfasts/lunch items, great coffee and awesome staff! Can be a little busy on the weekend-mornings and your food may take some time at this location (small kitchen/prep area) so not the best if you are in a rush to eat and run. Can’t recommend enough!! Stay Golden, friends!

Since they opened in the neighborhood, we have been indulging in the gluten-free biscuits weekly!!! They are SO good!

Prefaced by that this was on Sunday during a rush.

It took a little over an hour once we ordered to receive our food. The biscuits were very good and if we went again we’d probably only get a biscuit from the counter to avoid waiting. The sandwich and eggs and bacon were fine. The specialty coffee was good too. We did pass a table with a dead fly on it. The kitchen setup they had setup felt like they didn’t finish yet? So maybe that contributed but I don’t know.

The coffee, biscuits, and service could not be better. This is by far my favorite coffee/breakfast spot in Nashville. My family heads here almost every morning and it is one of the best parts of our day.

Ordered the Brandy and Vanilla latte which was so delicious. Also had the biscuits and gravy which were good too! The new space has a great patio which is perfect for this time of year. Friendly service, will definitely be back!

I’ll start out by saying we’re big fans of the old Stay Golden location. This was so far below that experience in every way but the coffee and service. The kitchen just isn’t ready to be open. Undercooked eggs (not to mention the odd colored and textured souffléd eggs on the sandwiches that were like tofu — and not in a good way), no potatoes or waffles (literally our reason to go), baked goods in cello wrap, side of fruit that was a roughly cut up bruised apple and grapes that were mostly split and soft (and even if the stuff weren’t bruised and split, it’s like something from a kids meal), etc, etc. Then, out of the blue… maybe let’s distract everybody with early 2000s pop that’s so loud it’s hard to talk over (outside). Weird. Bottom line our visit today was kind of a mess. So, your mileage may vary. That it’s this busy shows how badly Nashville wants decent breakfast options. I just hope that they can dial it in and get it right and the premature opening doesn’t kill the business. If not for the knowledge of what the other location could deliver, I can’t think of a reason we’d give it another shot based on our experience, which is a bummer.

So grateful to have this amazing place in west Nashville! What an absolute gem of a café! From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by the friendliest staff, who made me feel right at home. The atmosphere is bright, relaxed, and inviting—perfect for a coffee break or a quiet moment to unwind. We ordered the matcha latte and vanilla latte, both of which were crafted to perfection. And the waffle—Topped with apple butter, it was pure bliss—I’m officially obsessed. If you’re looking for a spot that delivers both incredible service and delicious treats, this is it!

Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free biscuits and pastries- they offer oat milk as an alternative milk

Wheelchair accessibility: The wheelchair accessible entrance is behind the building where the parking is or from the front near the entrance of the butcher

SO excited to have Stay Golden in the Nations neighborhood and the vibes are amazing. The coffee is some of the best in Nashville, the food is always delicious, and the folks behind the counter are always so sweet. 10/10 would recommend for grabbing a quick cup, posting up with the laptop, or brunch on the patio.

**updated review: not even 3 hours after I posted this review- the owner contacted me and fully refunded my order, not just the complained about espresso. This is a business that cares and is worth giving your business. Newer team members, but an owner who values quality work & quality visits for customers. 5 stars earned for customer service. I will be back & will be telling people about this great interaction from the owner, Jamie. **

ordered a latte and a plain biscuit from the pastry case. After waiting about 4 min for the coffee, I went back up to get an extra espresso shot since the coffee was weak… paid over $4 for a single shot (total came out to over $18 for a latte and a biscuit) then waited another 10 minutes while the crew was all standing around chatting. I had to ask three times for my biscuit. Staff was nice when interacting but seemed like they’d rather talk with each other than give speedy service. *for reference, it was not busy at all and in the time I was there only 4 people had ordered so they weren’t swamped by any means*

My family and I have been die hard Stay Golden fans for years but this was my first time trying the new location. I would say give it a month or two before trying the new stay golden while they work out their kinks (hope they’re just kinks!).

When my friend went in and ordered, she asked about the infamous fried potatoes (everyone in my family and friend group were obsessed with their potatoes they were arguably one of the best things on the menu). The person at the counter said they were “trying something new and doing something kinda like tater tots.” They were straight up frozen and reheated tater tots (or at least tasted exactly like them) and they unfortunately didn’t time cooking them well. I got the Jam and my roommate got an Avocado toast with egg, and when the food got to us my sandwich was warm and the tots were ice cold, soggy and bland. Plus the eggs on both of our meals were an absolute mess which was fine for her toast but it made my sandwich so hard to eat.

On top of that, the biscuit my sandwich was on was a little dry so the runny mess of eggs plus dry crumbly biscuit was not great. We also got the chocolate chip cookies because I talked about how good they were and my friend loved hers but mine was a little overbaked and dry. The cookie still tasted good though!

On the positive side, service was great and we loved the atmosphere of the new location. They discovered that they were out of matcha after my friend had ordered one, and the server came out and was very apologetic and got a different drink served to her within a couple minutes of speaking to us. Plus we LOVED the size of the porch and that we could both bring our dogs with us!

Overall, Stay Golden still has the same great service and atmosphere as always, but I’m eager to see the same quality breakfast I’ve had in the past. Also please bring back the breakfast potatoes!
