AMAZING food and service!! I always order here through Grubhub and the food is always fresh and phenomenal; I absolutely love it. Great flavors, spices, portion size all perfect. Today I accidentally pressed the express reorder button on Grubhub and got two orders by mistake. While Grubhub was unwilling to refund me because I’d already received the order, Street Injera was SUPER kind and was willing to refund it to me. I was elated to know that not only the food was perfect, but the customer service has a heart and was willing to work with me. I will be coming back!

Street Injera is a hidden gem for African cuisine lovers! Though it’s not a sit-in restaurant, the quality and authenticity of the food more than make up for it. Every dish I’ve ordered has been absolutely delicious, especially their signature injera, which is soft, tangy, and pairs perfectly with the flavorful stews.

The takeout process is seamless, and the food always arrives fresh and hot. Their veggie platters are my go-to choices, packed with bold African spices and textures that leave you craving more. The portions are generous, and they take great care in packaging everything neatly, so the food retains its quality even after a little travel.

If you’re looking for authentic African food to enjoy in the comfort of your own home, Street Injera is the spot. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to try something unique, fresh, and packed with flavor!?

This is NOT authentic Ethiopian food. I should have gone to Thompson lane or Murfresseboro rd like i regularly do but this was closer since im ok West End. Even when the Gps had me turn into a modern day food hall I wasn’t deterred the slightest bit. All I wanted and had my mind set on for days now was Ethiopian Food. A veggie plate. Let me also say that i’m 35 and in 2013 I worked as a manager at a hotel. One of my housekeepers whom I became close friends with was Ethiopian. One day I noticed she had a bowl that had potatoes cabbage spinach in it for lunch. At that point I never cared for spinach or cabbage but have always loved potatoes and the smell of what was coming from her bowl smelled insanely good. [ Bear with me there is a point to be made in this story. ] - My housekeeper than went got a plate and shared her lunch with me. When I tasted this it changed my life! The potatoes, the cabbage, the spinach were just like they smelled…. incredible! I had her make that meal for me once a week for the remaining time we were both there. After that I went to the Ethiopian restaurants on Nolensville pike and Murfreesboro road. My housekeeper made the best Ethiopian Food but those two restaurants were not far behind. I learned it’s just in the type of food they cook and how they cook it that makes Ethiopian food so good. The seasons are unmatched to any other cuisine. Also note the smell, I love the smell of the food [seasons] but my boyfriend hates it. He won’t give the food a try bc of it. Now that i’ve said all of that, I want to call of the review sites yelp and google. It’s no way the reviews on y’all’s sites for this restaurant are real. it’s no way that this restaurant has gotten over 2 stars let alone 4.9. It’s no way. Which really shocked me and is making me think differently of all review sites. Now on the restaurants site it’s has two 5 star ratings. Which are clearly not real but it’s expected. Didn’t expect it from Yelp and Google. Well Google a little but def not yelp!!! - The review; The Location: Remember when I said pulling into a modern day food hall didn’t deter me? [ ?] It should have. The Service: I give a 5/5. I had questions so while inside the building using their ordering app I gave the restaurant a call. A lady answered and her customer service was great. The Food: Got back into the car with my food and as I open the container [ ? ] my food was served in my boyfriend says at least that DOESN’T SMELL as bad as usual. I said to myself he is right, I don’t smell anything at all [ ? ]. At first I couldn’t tell the which was my cabbage and potatoes the potato salad [ ? ] but I was so excited to finally eat that none of those things gave me hesitation to that first bite. After that first bite I was confused. As I continued to go through the motions of preparing for my each next bite, by bite 7 I put my fork down and just starred at the container of food. The cabbage, carrots and potatoes tasted plastic like. That’s the only word I can match with the taste. The red Lentils were dry as canned corn beef. Disappointed to say the VERY least. I was heartbroken honestly. I sat with my thoughts the rest of the way home. As I got home and decided that i had no choice but to write a review I realized another something else. So the place i went into to order and receive my food had about 6 to 8 different restaurants you can order from. It was also where the food is being prepared and than sat into the food hall version of amazon prime lockers to be served, HAD NO SMELL OF FOOD AT ALL! - t.f the dawn.

My wife and I order from here all the time and it is always a 10/10. The food feels like a mom made it. It is absolutely delicious and so comforting. One of my favorite places to eat in Nashville! Thank you so much for this delicious food ?

What an amazing experience! The owner came out to greet me. She even provided the BEST cup of coffee I have had in a LONG time (simply amazing??). The injera had just the right amount of the bitter/vinegar taste.

The beet salad along with the lentils and beef tipps were seasoned to PERFECTION. You can taste the love and passion for food in every bite!

Amazing

We went to street injera not expecting the location or the service delivery of it. So it was very surprising when the owner came out and personally handed us our food by name, much more friendly experience than the lockboxes that other food were delivered in. I loved that we could put a face to the restaurant. The food was delicious and I understand why the reviews are so high for this place. Would definitely come again!
