I’m a coffee connoisseur & I was told to try this place while staying in Nashville for awhile so I excitedly went out of my way to go…..only to find out they didn’t open until 7 😕 I can just never take a coffee shop that doesn’t open until 7 seriously. That’s basically a coffee shop for people not going to work.

We were in Nashville for five days and had iced lattes at five different places. Sump was the absolute best. So good that we bought a few bags of beans to bring home. Would definitely come back next time we’re in town.

I dream every day of their coconut honey iced latte. Honestly I wish I never tried it because I don’t live in Nashville. BUT their team was sweet enough to tell me how to make the syrup so I can still have it at home.
COME TO DC?? SUMP FOR

The best coffee in Nashville, and it's not particularly close.

About 6 different pour overs on the menu and they rotate, so there's plenty of reason to go back.

Great staff and a great vibe.

The only downside is the cost, but you get what you pay for.

These people really know how to source and prepare excellent Artisanal coffee. There were five different traces of a pour over available, from Central and South America, and Africa. Both of ours were very good to excellent. The baristas were very helpful and accommodative. The tables to sit and study inside appeared very comfortable, and there was a nice ambient background music. We sat outside, where there were about four tables. I would recommend Sump to anyone who would appreciate the nuances of superior single origin coffee.

Just got a hot Matcha with a little orange ginger syrup, made with oat milk. It cost just inder $8. And was served in a little ten ounce cup ... And as I could not taste either the matcha or the syrup, both of which were used in very tiny amounts, I basically paid eight dollars for a small cup of hot oat milk. Which is frankly insulting. I'm getting tired of all this bs boutique type café image. The charge is a lot while the actual substance of what they're offering, it's really small

So many amazing pour over options and with the Pour Steady, always consistent and not an issue when they are busy

Wow. Great drip coffee and they had heavy cream. Can’t believe how good it was. Now my only complaint is they don’t have larger cups.
