Can't go wrong with Sun Diner! Every time we stop by Nashville we get our brunch here! It's a classic spot with a vibe! The waiters/waitresses there are always super friendly and the service is always very fast, even when there is a line which there always is, it goes by quick and it moves along.
My wife loves the chicken and waffles and I usually explore something on the menu, this time I had the chicken steak and it was tender, crunchy, and well seasoned, just thinking about it makes my mouth water. But we've tried their steak as well and it's on point, you won't be disappointed.
Besides the food, there's a lot of history to the place and you can tell from the vintage photos hanged up on the wall. It's a must visit if you want to experience a bit of Nashville!

I left extremely unimpressed. Coffee here is atrocious. Arnold Palmer tasted watered down, too. I had chicken and waffles, which was marked as the most popular item on the menu… I was left largely underwhelmed and disappointed. Nothing special at all, unfortunately. Chicken was dry and not very flavorful. The waffle was just alright. Server was sweet and attentive and brought this experience up to 3 stars.

Went here around 8:00pm while staying in Nashville for a few nights, there were a couple people there. Super chill, relaxed vibes. Our server was so nice and attentive, the food was incredible! Such a neat little place to stop by if you’re walking around downtown Nashville.
Best waffles I’ve ever had! I have a big sweet tooth and have had my fair share of waffles, these were crazy good! Instead of the peanut drizzle, I got the syrup with cinnamon - chefs kiss!

My husband and I stopped in here on a Friday about 1pm. I wanted breakfast and he wanted lunch; perfect spot. He ate the hot chicken wrap with sauce on the side and said it was surprisingly delicious but glad he got the sauce on the side because it was really spicy and that’s coming from a guy who loves spicy. I ordered the bacon, 3 eggs, potatoes and pancake; all amazing. I love eggs and the over easy eggs were easily the best cooked eggs I’ve ever eaten. Our server was amazing, polite and attentive. We would definitely go back!
