This was a corporate dinner so I was not paying and it’s hard to be completely objective in that situation, but I thought that the food was slightly overrated. A little bit dried out on the Wagyu crispy rice. The potstickers had excellent flavor as did some of the other dishes and the service was very good, but the prices were definitely high. I probably would not go there if I was paying.

We had such a great experience at Sunda, especially thanks to our server, Mikel. From the moment we sat down, he set the tone for the night with this perfect balance of warmth and professionalism. He made thoughtful recommendations without being pushy, checked in at all the right times, and genuinely felt invested in us having a great meal. Every dish he pointed us toward ended up being a favorite — especially the short rib. We also noticed he seemed to have great rapport with every table around us while still making ours feel like it mattered.

The food was delicious and our server Mikel was great. He was very knowledgeable and helped us select delicious dishes, especially the ube waffles and Japanese chicken. The highlight for me were the pork belly bao and the ube espresso martini. The oxtail potstickers were a close second.
