Do not eat at Swetts. They have a low score of 66 for a reason! Roaches, food not stored properly, no hand washing, and the list goes on. Go see it for yourself, so you can see how nasty this establishment really is. 𤢠Iâm not one to trash a business, but when you have no care for the consumers safety, you should be called out! Absolute trash! For your own safety donât eat!!!!!

Great smothered pork chops foods just all around great here
Swett's is about as down-home as it gets. It's meat-and-three style (though you can get as many of anything as you like) with a set menu of proteins and sides. I was impressed by the baked chicken; it has a ton of flavor and moisture and pulls right off the bone. None of the other food really wowed me. It's all perfectly fine, just not too exciting, but Swett's isn't really the kind of place to go for exciting food. It's a community staple frequented by locals on a lunch break, on the way home from work, or after church on Sunday. The staff are warm and welcoming and it was a joy to watch them interact with regulars.

This restaurant has some of the best soul food I have ever eaten. It is definitely a place to visit. If youâre in Nashville, I will definitely be going again. Everything was delicious.

I have eaten at swetts happily for over 30 years. However within the last year they began to put red bell peppers in every food item. It's in the turkey and dressing, it's in the green beans, it's in the squash casserole, it's in the pinto beans, it's in every single thing they serve it's on top of the baked chicken. I'm allergic to bell peppers both red and green and so now I can no longer go to swetts, because for some reason, they think every food item deserves red peppers. No one puts red peppers in turkey and dressing or green beans!! But apparently swetts Forces them into every food. Very disappointed this is no longer a restaurant I can stop by and get a plate of vegetables without them being inundated with red bell peppers which make everything taste like a red bell pepper. I don't want dressing that tastes like red bell peppers. I asked the cook about it and she said they've always put red bell peppers in everything they serve and that is just not true. As I said I used to could come in here and get a plate of vegetables with no red bell pepper

The food is good. I often stop by after Sunday service to get a plate on the way home. Last time I stopped there had to use the ladies room. A server had to also. My concern was whether she washed her hands before exiting the ladies room. I pray that they make that an important part of service.

Southern style of meat with side dishes; many to choose from. It is a cafeteria style: Grab a tray and the staff will do the rest as you order.
