I got a to go vegetable plate. The turnip greens were not washed thoroughly. This is the second time in the past month they tasted gritty. The food is not as good as it used to be. And the lady who fixed my plate today just slapped the food in the container and didn’t drain the beans or the greens. Not quality service at all.

The baked chicken and yams were great . The other food was overall ok. I was thinking it was a black and owned and operated . Apparently it’s black owned and foreign and white operated . It would be nice to see black people employed at a black owned restaurant.

Delicious country soul food in a nice environment. Good selection of entrees, desserts, and sides. I had the hamburger steak with grilled onions and gravy, collard greens, pinto beans, cornbread, chocolate pie and a drink.My friend had the pork cops and he said they were great.Overall, it is a favorite place to eat when in Nashville.

Had the Mac b cheese (over the stove, nit baked), fish (very salty), potatoe casserole (very heavy and ouly), peach cobbler (overly sweet), my bill was $20.Overall, it didn't have have sound food taste,, just a typical cafeteria style, processed foods taste, you can get better options elsewhere in Nashville, so I won't return.
