Loved this restaurant! We actually picked it only because of a nearby appointment, but we were so impressed.We tried the chips and salsa as well as the loaded chicken nachos (Must try!!). Then we had their triple taco combo and ordered some shrimp and chicken tacos that were so good that we ordered another round of them. The avocado jalapeno margarita was to die for!

I loved it! I like how unique their tacos are. If you like sweet potato fries, Taco Mamacita's are a must. Fun fact about me is that if anyone tells me their going to Nashville, I tell them to go here!

We were just passing through town and this place caught my eye. We got lucky with parking and found a spot nearby. We were immediately seated and the manager advised the server was a tad busy so he’d start our drink orders. The server was ultimately attentive and pleasant. With that said, I could say the service was fantastic! The atmosphere was a generic setting, but no complaints. The restaurant and bathroom were clean so that’s a plus! Sadly, the food was 50/50.. the nacho appetizer platter was very delicious and filling. We had also ordered the plantains, which were also delicious. More of a dessert for me, but still very good. The drinks were decent, but I had to order what I did’t really want because the machine wasn’t working to make frozen margaritas. I ordered the ‘Hot Chicken Tacos’ and there wasn’t anything that was hot about them. They weren’t spicy and weren’t even warm. I ordered two, and at $4 each I expected more. They barely had any chicken, and what little “meat”there was, was like 3-4 tiny popcorn chicken pieces that didn’t taste like they had any chicken at all but instead were just cold hard breading. If this had been shredded chicken, it would’ve been good. The shell was a double shell, a soft shell that wrapped a hard shell. Well, either my tacos were ready and didn’t come out right away or they were just stale. So tough to bite through that I ended up picking at the rest of the taco. Which really wasn’t much. My companion had tacos with added grilled shrimp and wasn’t impressed either. Basically only ate the shrimp. Even with all that I’d still go back and try something else.

We had a terrible experience and we won't be back! Originally the hostess told us it would be a 15 minute wait. After sitting in the lobby for 30 minutes, a different hostess came and told us we'd have better luck sitting at the bar as it would be another 45 minutes until we got a table despite there being several tables open. Once we sat at the bar, it took a several minutes for someone to greet us. By then we were ready to order drinks, apps, and our meal. We ordered everything at the same time. Got our drinks and a few minutes later, we got our app. We waited and waited for our food as everyone around us got their food before us. After 45 minutes of waiting for our food, the food runner came and told us that the bartender has not rang in our food so we left. Absolutely disappointing for our first and only time going there. Don't waste your time or money.

My boyfriend and I went to Taco Mamacita last night - or tried to. It was busy but not overly crowded. After putting our name on the waitlist, we walked back to the bar to order a drink. Stood right in front of one of the bartenders and patiently waited for him to tell me he would be with me in a minute or two - never happened. He wouldn't even make eye contact with me. Gave up, went back up to the front. When we got seated, we ended up waiting again for a server. She took our chips and guac order and my drink order. 18 minutes later, still nothing. I found the hostess and told her how long we had been waiting with nothing but water. She apologized and said she would fix the situation. A couple of minutes later our server came over and tried to apologize but just blamed it on the bar - she was still waiting on my drink. 20 minute wait for a margarita at a Mexican restaurant? Come on. She never mentioned the chips and guac we ordered (which she could have brought over while waiting for my drink), never asked if we were ready to order our entrees. It was at that point when we decided to leave. Told the hostess on our way out that we will never be back. We live 10 minutes away but will find other options for dinner.
Great staff. Wonderful food. I love buying and bringing a bottle the sauce home with us.

Wow ! After living in Houston for 30 years, we crave taco every once in a while. Server greeted us right away. Haven was super friendly and showed us the whole menu. Very fast and efficient. We got the : Taco Royal,Korean BBQ,Hot Chicken, Avocado and the street corn. 1. Taco Royal was amazing, double stacked and delicious. 2. Korean Bbq was amazing and sauce was superb 3. Hot Chicken was my fav. Untraditional, but very tasty. 4. Avocado was good but not great. Street Corn was just average not like any traditional that I have ever had. Great service and food and very clean. We would defiantly come back. I think 2 taco is the right amount per person. Haven was an excellent server, wish all were like her.

The taco bowls are nothing to write home about. Paid $14 for a bowl of shredded iceberg lettuce, a few over fried shrimp and siracha. Pretty blah meal for the price. Service was fine, atmosphere was typical trendy decor. Maybe the rest of the menu is better…
