I ordered the panang curry and the flavor was honestly good and veggies were yummy but like everyone said in the reviews, the chicken that came with it was very processed. Why call it “fresh” when it’s not?? That really brought the whole meal down for me. If it was a veggie dish, it’s way better, but yeah, unfortunately I they used really nasty chicken. Service was fine and the vibe is fine cuz obviously it’s the food hall haha

Staff was very rude. Ankle was rude and acted like we were a bother. We didn’t get the rice that was supposed to come with the meal asked for it and he was put off by it. Just stupid.

I ordered the pad kee mao with chicken (2*). I also ordered the fresh spring rolls (2*). The person taking the order Juan according to the receipt was disaffected, disengaged, and unhelpful. There was no line nor were there people waiting when I stepped up to order. I asked if the Pad Kee Mao was spicy, like it is supposed to be, and he said he didn't know, but he would ask the kitchen to make it spicy. I ordered the spring rolls which supposedly would have shrimp in them with a sauce. I asked for it to go. I paid and was told to wait in the pick up area (6 feet away).

It was a chaotic mess between the cooks and the pick up area. When you tried to ask a question, no one would respond. They were speaking Spanish, so I switched to Spanish. They looked at me surprised that a white guy was speaking Spanish. All of a sudden, they were responsive. I asked for spicy sauce. Service was very poor as described. When I asked for my bag to carry my food to go, the guy looked at me and threw me a plastic bag. Really?

I left and walked to my hotel room to enjoy. The pad was flavorless, no spice, no chicken, just noodles, a bell pepper, two small pieces of broccoli, and sauce. No meat. No tofu. Nothing more. The spring rolls were falling apart. Very poorly wrapped and almost exclusively cabbage. No meat, no shrimp, just veggies. The sauce was peanut like but so watered down that it didn't even coat the rolls.

The ambiance was nice. That is due to the food hall and has nothing to do with this restaurant. I would NOT return.

If I had purchased a microwave meal from the frozen isle of the grocery store, I would not have been able to tell the difference. I ordered stir fried veggies with chicken and fresh rolls. Chicken was dry. Veggies were sitting in a soggy sauce. The only thing the fresh rolls had in them was chopped iceberg lettuce and a few pieces of shrimp. This food was actually gross. I ate it because I paid almost $30! Service was rude on top of that. There are tons of options at the Assembly Food Hall. Pick something else and save your stomach the indigestion.

Low quality chicken. Maybe even canned. Food cold, service unkind. You can eat better here… go for the sushi.

7/22/2025 - The meal at Thai Esane in Assembly Food Hall was enjoyable. The food was authentic Thai cuisine. The Red Curry and Panang Curry were flavorful and tasted like genuine Thai dishes. The cooks worked hard to keep up with the orders, preparing dishes efficiently despite the large number of customers.
While some patrons might find the portions small (approximately two pieces of chicken per order), it is important to remember this is a food hall setting and the pricing reflects that. Other five-star Thai restaurants may cater to those seeking a larger quantity of food at a higher price.
You want a 5 stars Thai food, you go to a 5 stars Thai restaurant that will charge you a 5 stars pricing for your 5 stars stomach. Happy people focus on what they have. Unhappy people focus on what is missing.

Chicken Pad Thai - The flavor was good but the chicken was terrible. It was pure processed mush. I don't think it was even real chicken.

Great food for a very reasonable price for the area. Highly recommend.

Food was good tasting. Barely any chicken in my red curry and my bowl seemed small for paying $16. Egg rolls were burnt.

They do not take cash unfortunately.

Additionally the food tasted mid and the staff a bit unfriendly as well.

I got the pad see ew which is always my favorite Thai dish. It was good, but it was pretty greasy and the chicken was kinda stringy. My friend got the brisket fried rice and it was alright, however I’ll warn the brisket taste is very over powering and it was also greasy.

Service was fast and the food court was packed. Prices were not bad for downtown.
