The BE Hive Deli & Market

So I went here because it was rated as the best vegan food in Tennessee on a list by The Takeout, but I have to say I wouldn't go that far. I've tried vegan all over Tennessee at this point and I have to say that sluggos in Chattanooga is the best I've found in the State (in fact anywhere for that matter). I like a lot of other things about this place though, from their ethical behavior, to their shopping options. They're not really a sit-and-dine kinda place but that's okay. I only got their seitan chicken sandwich and so it may not be fair to base them solely on that.

Definitely one of the best vegan places I’ve been to! Friends from out of town agreed and were so jealous of our regional vegan offerings. I’ve never eaten meat so I have tried many places and this is a fave! Love the selection and totally hits the spot when you’re in that mood.

Amazing food!!! I always get the jalapeño popper fries with whatever I order, soooo good!! The staff is always so kind and friendly, and will fix any issue if you ever have one with a genuine smile on their face! Oh and the strawberry milkshake is the best strawberry milkshake I’ve ever had! 10/10

the best restaurant for vegan food in the Nashville area. the burrito is the best. Their subs made with fake deli meat are also very good. most vegan deli meat taste like twice digested baloney, but not the ones you get from here. if you haven't been here, then do yourself a favor and make it the next restaurant you go to.

WOW 11/10 honestly. I highly recommend the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and the Italian Sub! I hope to come and try more. Both items were the best vegan versions of those items I’ve ever had.

This place exceeded my expectations. The jalapeño popper fries were unreal, and the classic sandwich was also a win. Shoutout to the man at the front—super friendly, welcoming, and quick to take our order. We had an overall great experience and we’ll 100% be back. Next time I’m trying the Nashville hot chicken!

Omg, the Nashville hot chxn sandwich! Even the non vegan that was with us couldn’t put it down!

The classic sub is another must! That pepperoni flavor comes through perfectly on that!

Potato salad is creamy and full of flavor.

The spicy Nashville chicken sandwich is one of the best vegan foods I've ever had!! The potato salad is also bomb!! Fries were kinda soggy and super salty but that's probably because of the delivery. I also ordered the chocolate sprinkle cookie which was huge and incredibly sweet! Overall I think the food was super tasty but quite heavy on the stomach for sure. I hope to visit the physical location as well once I'm back In Nashville! Updated from previous review on 2026-01-05

Incredible vegan hot chicken sandwich! Might be the best one I’ve ever had. The kale salad and waffle fries were great too. The inside seating was limited and not the best, but we got takeout and ate downtown at the Capitol on the lawn. I highly recommend this place.

This place is an quintessential East Nashville establishment. The food is incredible and loaded with both unique and familiar flavours and textures. I am a meat-eater, and every time I eat here I do not miss the meat. I always feel deeply satiated for a reasonable price. The people here are so lovely and awesome. If this business fails, East Nashville will not be the same place.

Meh, it was ok. I had the hot chicken sandwich and it really lacked sauce and heat (not spicy at all). And then the fries came out cold. Maybe it was an off night, but probably won’t go back.

I'm not vegan or vegetarian but my best friend is. She says this place is her favorite restaurant in Nashville, so we stopped by. Everything we ordered, I tried some of and it was all absolutely delicious! While I won't be changing my diet anytime soon, I will 1000% be back.
