What an incredible place! The Cookery is a Christian establishment that welcomes everyone while offering amazing coffee and fresh Australian food and flavors at affordable prices while providing a comfortable, clean, and family-friendly environment. In addition to the amazing food and environment, the restaurant also serves as a place of community, support, and a classroom. They welcome students from the neighboring universities, and they have even held songwriters' nights for the music degree students at Belmont University. The primary focus of the restaurant, the way that I understand it, is to support their mission of rehabilitating and educating formerly homeless individuals as they are invited to participate in a program that supports them, houses them, and provides them with the skills to pursue a culinary career elsewhere upon completion of their coursework. The Cookery is by far my favorite restaurant!

Parking: There are multiple parking spaces, including a few disabled spaces, in the front of the restaurant, and there is additional parking on the left side and rear of the restaurant.

Kid-friendliness: Everyone is welcome at this restaurant.

My meal was not pleasing to the eyes, although it was good. The service was good, and the atmosphere was very laid back and welcoming.

We heard about this restaurant at church because of their mission. We went to support that mission. They help the homeless learn to cook and also have meals available for them. That being said we didn't know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised! The food was really good! I also got a Latte and it was wonderful. The meat pies are very filling and full of flavor. The cinnamon roll was delicious and it was huge!!!!! Everyone was very friendly! It is a wonderful place. They have a prayer wall for you to leave a prayer and/or take a prayer. You can also pay for meals for people in need. What a wonderful way to give back! We will definitely come back and support this mission!

Absolutely the best cinnamon roll in Nashville! If you are anywhere near 12 south, you need to go here and eat breakfast! The owner and staff are amazing and great people

Very cozy coffee, pastry, and breakfast/lunch spot with very friendly and accommodating staff. The sausage roll is particularly brilliant and order it every time. They have an emphasis on Australian dishes, which I am new to, but always love expanding my pallet. I also noticed that during the Winter they serve the homeless free coffee with a smile on their faces, which I think is fantastic.

Great little place close to the Belmont Campus. I especially love the shrimp tacos and the crepes. The service model and paying the check is a little confusing... but I've usually just gone to the counter to figure out the check.

I wish I could say all the issues could be due to being short staffed or due to it being New year’s day, but we sat and waited almost two hours for our food our server ignored us when asked for the wait time on our food and I had to ask a different server. Other people that had came in after us received their food before us. The food was rushed and not cooked properly as well. Not happy at all.

This has to be the worst restraint I've ever been to. It took an hour to get out food and mine was pancakes. They microwaved my nephews pulled pork so long it burnt his lip.
