I highly recommend this restaurant anytime you're in the 615. The staff are always incredibly nice and the service is great. It's had some great decorations throughout the restaurant. Whatever you order from the menu you will not be disappointed. The food is delicious.
I have been to Mockingbird several times and usually have a great experience. This time, less so. I think it could be that they just switched to a new menu and so it was impacting service? But the meals for the 4 of us did not come out at the same time. 2 of us were completely done eating before the other meals arrived and we did have to ask about the other meals not showing up. Our server was super friendly and accommodating, but overall the experience was not great and disappointing...
Menu was well thought out. Brie grilled cheese bites were amazing, pasta was perfectly cooked, and the Brussels were delicious(though on the sweeter side). Pork belly was good but I think I would have liked it spicier(personal preference of course), and the tater tots were heavenly. Our server was incredibly welcoming and Jen, and her Jen and Juice, were both balanced and sweet.
