Legit old school sports bar with Chicago favorites: Chicago Dogs and Italian beef. They also have great bar games: Pool, Darts, and Golden Tee. If you smoke, they have an outside patio for you.
I had a brisket sandwich with fries corn on the cob and coleslaw all for $11.75. This was the lunch special. Prices are very reasonable even if you don’t choose the lunch special.
Been coming to The Other Place for about a year. Food is usually good and great value for money (potato skins too dry for me).
The grilled chicken salad is excellent.
HOWEVER, about 4 minutes ago, I finished a plate of the chilli cheese fries...
.
I MAY BE IN LOVE.

Totally unhealthy, therefore totally delicious (that's how it works, right?).
All y'all, if those chilli cheese fries are what finally put me down...
So be it.
Worth it. 👍🏻
The chicken sandwich was crazy good for bar food
Wow this place hasn’t had a review in a quick minute. So I’m going to give one now, just to update everyone. I’ve had a great time here with Kelly the bartender she is always asking if I’m good and if I need anything. The place is clean from my view everyone’s really nice they have good food I wasn’t too impressed with the fried pickles but that’s just a preference thing. It’s mostly locals me being the only out of towner here I think but they are all good people. I would recommend coming here if you have the opportunity.
Service is great, drinks were cheap. No food was served for some reason at an event night. Not really a friendly atmosphere customer wise.
About a month ago I went there for the first time. Had an appetizer and some beer. It was $20 and some change Left a $10 tip. I got up the next day my card was charged for $75. Basically three times for the one transaction. I called numerous times. finally got a hold of the owner. what she said she would reimburse me that was well over 3 weeks ago she is now not returning my calls and I still do not have the $50 they stole... I will never be going back to this place and if you choose to try it make sure you pay them in cash.
Sadly, I wasn't afforded the opportunity to appreciate the place. Within seconds after entering and taking a seat at the bar, I was asked to leave. (Yup, it's exactly what you imagine from whom you'd imagine it.)
Apparently, entering, sitting, and ordering a Negroni from the expectant barkeep was an affront?
As excited as I was to meet colleagues from Southside for their celebration at Other Place, (1) there's no recourse/recompense for how I was treated and (2) there's nothing special about the place to warrant my returning.
I'll keep my business in 37211 at the proper cocktail bar in Plaza Mariachi.
Upon reading the other reviews, Other Place seems to survive because it's the only after dinner option in Lennox Village---not because they have a care for service or hospitality...
Felt like I was in an episode of the twilight zone. This place is odd. My partner and I came in around noon on Saturday for the first time. Sat at the bar, took a while to be waited on even though there weren't many customers. Ordered two bloody marys, they both came with sugar on the rim instead of salt. I let bartender know so she made me another one- just me lol not my partner since he didnt want to make a fuss. We then ordered 6 wings and a bowl of potato soup. While waiting we played a game of pool. Walked back to the bar to see what was taking so long and bartender said she forgot to put our order in. Two people walked in around 10 to 15 minutes prior to when we asked about our foood and had just been served- they let us know how delicious the wings are. We went to Brother's down the road instead to eat, service and food were excellent.

Dive bar where if you aren't a regular, you're not getting served. Sat at the bar for 5 minutes, 4 other patrons in the place, and the bartender never once looked our way.

Kind of every generic sports bar. Menu is a bit limited with sandwiches, salads, and three entries under Entree's, but the food is good and portions were huge. Leftovers take some of the bite out of the prices. It's a ok place. It's just as un-notable as the name implies.
Wheelchair accessibility: Curb cuts were limited, but inner accessibility for a scooter or crutches was fine.

We stopped by on a game night and there was only one server - the bartender to tend to the entire restaurant. She was kind and doing her best but not enough for at least 40 patrons in there. Ownership needs to better support her and other staff especially on busy nights. Place has potential but for now it is coming up
